Even though God permitted polygamy, it was never his will. When he made a wife for Adam he made only one.

As a Christian though, the standard is one man one wife.

Prophet Isaiah was married to one wife with children, Isaiah 8:3. Prophet Jeremiah was strictly forbidden to get married. Prophet Elijah has no such record of his marriage to any woman. Ezekiel was married, but no information about how many wives.
