I'm not from SE so be guided. Lagos as a territory of Nigeria with resources from the Niger Delta oil use in developing it belongs to all Nigerians equally. How does Obi come into this matter? That I support Obi means I don't have my independent opinion on things? garfield1: |

Don't be sentimental. If you want Yoruba land back, you have to secede from Nigeria. As it is not, you do not have more benefits in Lagos than someone like me from Delta Christistruth00: |

Its long overdue. Nigeria as curruntly constituted cannot work beyondPen: |
Re: Lagos To Celebrate Yoruba Week Annually In September by DMerciful(m): 2:05pm On Apr 30 |
You know Lagos belongs to all Nigerians. If your benefit is your ability to come out at night on Oro day, what will i do with it? We're talking of my right to live and work anywhere in Nigeria including Lagos, you're talking of Oro festival. Secede and you'll have your Lagos back but until then, its for all Nigerians SonofLagos: |
Re: Lagos To Celebrate Yoruba Week Annually In September by DMerciful(m): 2:09pm On Apr 30 |
You're majoring in the minor. As long as i can live and work anywhere in Nigeria including Lagos is enough. If i want to marry a Yoruba woman, i can. So you do not have more benefits than me in Lagos Sccarrr: |

DMerciful: SonofLagos:Yorubaland that we already have without any Sentiment you make us think that the way all of Igboland surrendered to Obasanjo and Obasanjo took their surrender as a gentleman and led your leaders to Gowon in Lagos if it had been the other way round God forbid and Ojukwu was in Obasanjo shoes You guys would have claimed to be the New owners of Yorubaland !! You make it look like Obasanjo and Gowon were wrong to return your homeland to you That is how bad your behavior is !! All of Igboland was surrendered to Obasanjo after Ojukwu fled and abandoned you Every inch of it including Ojukwu's own hometown!! We didn't covet your land Gowon had the power and right to Nationalize your Land for Security reasons He didn't! Look at you Fathers submission https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVp03yKC03o?si=1sYujjCPP2axd6jM 2 Likes |

DMerciful:Keep deluding yourself, the same right you have to live and work, is the same right the aborigines have to direct how the affairs of their state is been run, reason why. They are asking you not to come out during the Oro and also the same reason why they made Yoruba mandatory in all public institutions….if you still think you have the same right with them, then you must be living in fool’s paradise, let no one Nigeria fool you, everyone Dey bear hin papa name😂 6 Likes 1 Share |

If I can speak my language and your language, who has more advantage? If I have enough popularity, I can be voted for just like other non Yorubas winning elections. Afterall, no Lagos indigene has been governor in Lagos since 1999. Suffice to say that Aboriginal Lagosians are actually oppressed by Yorubas from other state using the Yoruba heritage as excuse. SonofLagos: |
Re: Lagos To Celebrate Yoruba Week Annually In September by SonofLagos: 2:32pm On Apr 30 |
DMerciful:if you actually believe it belong to all Nigerian, why then do you need to understand Yoruba to achieve your political ambition? And how many non Yoruba do we have in positions of power in Lagos today? If the last election and the current reforms silently going on in Lagos to Limit the influence of migrants Igbo in Lagos have not thought you dolts anything, then I can’t help you 3 Likes |

You don't get it. You cannot be in a country and still retain your 'country' before joining. When you agreed to join the Nigerian state at independent, you give up your 'country'. To get it back, you must secede. Your statement regarding Biafra is not making sense. You killed millions of Biafra to force them to return to Nigeria and you say they should be grateful? You said Yoruba is being taught in schools in a mocking way but you don't know how shortsighted you sound. A bilingual person always have advantages all other things remaining constant. You can't use violence in elections for long. You should know this. If eventually we have electronic voting, non indigenes of Lagos who are not Yorubas will join with Aboriginal Yorubas of Lagos to ensure that only Lagosians like Agbaje, Gbadebo, Doherty,Jandor, Funke Akindeke win Lagos gubernatorial elections and not people from Ekiti, Osun, Ogun, Oyo etc who have prevented Lagosians from determining their destiny SonofLagos: |

You're trying to muddle the water to confuse yourself. My point is you have no tangible advantages in Lagos than any other Nigerian. Case close! Sccarrr: |
Re: Lagos To Celebrate Yoruba Week Annually In September by SonofLagos: 2:56pm On Apr 30 |
DMerciful:please try and type in pigin if English is difficult to write and who mentioned violence in my post? Chinonso it’s non of your business if a Oyo or ekiti man becomes governor in Lagos, Lagos is Yoruba land and so are the other state you mentioned. Yoruba are one and we don’t practice your primitive culture of Osu where some ibos are slaves or where an Anambala man sees himself has superior to ebonyi😂 as long as it is not Chinedu from a cursed land come to seek power in Lagos, then we are fine with any Yoruba man out side Lagos…Yoruba is one, please be worried about your backward region.. I really don’t know the problem of a migrant Igbo with how Yoruba people govern themselves 3 Likes |

Re: Lagos To Celebrate Yoruba Week Annually In September by DMerciful(m): 3:02pm On Apr 30 |
There was no word like Yoruba before 1808! Infacts you guys were fighting yourself to death because you don't agree. You only started agreeing less than 80yrs ago in order to compete with Igbos. Having said that, if Yorubas are one, how come no Lagos indigene has been governor since 1999? You use your common language to deprive indigenous Lagosians while deceiving them you're one. The reason you've prevented indigenous Lagosians leadership is because you feel they're too liberal and might treat Igbos like other Yorubas from Ekiti, Ondo the same. This stronghold won't be for long. Tinubu wont be there forever SonofLagos: |

DMerciful:you even seem to know Yoruba history than your Igbo history Chinonso this obsession with Yoruba and Lagos is really getting worked up😂 and since you have the birth certificate of all past Lagos governors, pls tell us where fashola is from and the rest of them with verifiable link and not hear say and please when did the aborigines of Lagos which I belong to complain to you that we don’t want our brothers from other Yoruba states elected in positions of power in Lagos? Chinonso you have bigger problems like erosion, insecurity and Fulani herdsmen killing your people in sad yeast but you seem not bothered about that, but rather a region doing better than your cursed land is your problem….indeed this is no more obsession but witchcraft😂 5 Likes |

DMerciful: That is why you never built a Nation you don’t seem to understand Statehood A Country can invade another Country and still leave it intact and in some cases even Better The British ruled India, The kingdoms of Thailand, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia , Arab Emirates, It depends on how good the agreement the rulers get from the invaders Japan was completely and thoroughly defeated and Conquered by the US, they didn’t hang the Emperor of Japan Because he was useful to them so they hanged the Prime Minister Tojo instead Is Japan not still a Nation? From your words I am even more convinced that if Ojukwu was in Obasanjo’s shoes he would have claimed all Igboland By right of Conquest he would not have given back the land to its owners 1 Like |

Use your head and compare like for like. California joined the United State much later. They cannot say New York people can't come to California. To do that, they'd have to breakaway from the US, then they can regulate their borders. You cannot be within a country and say you wanna regulate your borders. If you cannot regulate your border, how then can you say its your land? Christistruth00: |
