Calabar was the capital of Southern Protectorate, the Oil River Protectorate, and Niger Coast Protectorate until 1906 that it moved to Lagos.
At that time that calabar was capital of the southern part, kaduna was the capital of the Northern part.
It was in 1914 when all the protectorate was merged together and called Nigeria
The capital of them all was Lagos.
