Is this the solution? Inconveniencing innocent citizens when the criminals have gone to the bush?.
The army should rather wait for the next so called seat at home and lay ambush for the criminal unknown gun men enforcers, then eliminate everyone of them leaving one to take them to their base for total eradication of the vermin.
Those army guys were set-up. All of them were christains & igbo. When have you ever seen an army patrol full with just one tribe?

Do you want the military to ignore the killing of military men by criminals in Abia?

Unknown gunman spotted. Your days are numbered.

I expect the usual noise and dumb talks about the military flexing power on innocent Nigerians.
You support Isreal killing innocent civilians claiming they harbor terrorists but have a probelm with Nigerian army when they are hunting for terrorists harbored by "biafrans".

You claim the military only flex muscles with civilians yet when the military come out in force, you wouldn't spot one terrorist. All they know how to do is to come out in numbers and ambush a check point they run and hide in the bush.

Many of you can sleep and wake up in your house because of the same military men you come online to bash. Yes, they have their excesses but without them, many of you will be in IDP camps!

Many of your people would be in IDP camps, igbos won't be among

So Nigeria is so much a failed state that the police can no longer investigate, arrest and prosecute high profile crimes anymore but tag it to a group? So if a person wants to rob a bank in east now they will put on Biafra color and police will run away and say they are UGM or in west dressed like Fulani they will run and say it’s herdsmen or in the north put on long beards like boko haram etc….this is sad that Nigeria is now a failed state under a man the enemies of Nigeria said he built Lagos

If Nigeria is a failed State, it is caused by your people from the land of rising wailer, where lies, propaganda, crimes and drugs rain and only source of contribution and import to other parts of Nigeria and overseas.

You can argue this with your ancestors. The earlier these people leave the better for the rest of the commonwealth for they cause the so-called failure.

Commonsense should tell you that recent history has shown that the military would always give an often over the board response in due time.

You seem comfortable that military personnel were killed in an unprovoked attacked. Which makes me think that you are part of the attackers.

So, what should the Army's response be?

There is also something you need to understand... the East is NOT a place that is naturally lawless like you find in large swathes of areas in the North. It is a few people (like yourself I presume) that want to convey that impression.

You have somehow chosen to propagate your ideology using violence against your own people and then cry foul when repercussions come calling.

Since you know that the 'strong responses' by the Army to attacks in the North and south differ, why do you and your cohorts choose to carry out senseless attacks and then let innocent people suffer?

Why have you chosen violence to ensure compliance to your ideology?

Most of you are really foolish.... This eastern issue started from the powers assigned to curb it.... When the complaints were loud 6-7 years ago about the intentional and willful ignorance of the rise of this group.... Everyone appeared deaf.... Just the boko HARAM came into play, so also are the gunmen..... It's unfortunate they are now in the dimension of
Guerrilla warfare.... Something am afraid will overrun the military

Nope. Your brain cells are not developed wnought to understand what you read.

I am ashamed that you know how to put English together but still can't logically put some things into perspective. Just as nigerian military is failing to understand that using exccessive force would make some people determinie to attack again. We are not too far from a failed state, and to win this war nigerian army needs the support of the people..

Boko haram Spiral out of control because of this kind tactics. Today we still do not know who are sponsoring herdsmen and unknown gunmen. If they are failing to invest money in intelligence gathering, we might wake up one day in an upside down Nigeria.

My point is this: we can't be punishing the innocent because of the wrong some people whom don't represent them. This gorilla styled approach would make people hate them the more. Remember empire didn't not fall in one day!

No, BokoHaram spiralled out of control cos we had niwits like El Rufai and other Northerners who initially supported them until the hunter became hunted. If you kill a policeman here in the ubitrd states, full force will be used to hunt yiu down. You dont kill uniformed men then complain of excessive force. Many innocent people are dying in Palestine today and 90% of the same clowns complaining here do no see anything wrong in that. Enough of the hypocritical cries!

Hypocritical cry ?

You and I know that the criminals or terrorist would flee far away, only the innocent will be around to bear the brunt. Unfortunately, criminals learn faster than our uniform men. They have consistently use this style, how come nigerian army is yet learn and understand. We should pray that we don't have another kind of extremist. Sadly, We have military that are not pre-emptive.

Most Nigerians are Hypocrites(you inclusive), they only defend nonsense when it sooth them. Our uniform men have no respect for their people. I went to police hq in lagos , I overheard some police reporting a incident to their superior. They keep using the statement " the bloody civilian"
Why would a fellow man be addressing me as a bloody when I have not killed anybody. This is the same way they see you and I as inferior being, therefore they can do anything without being resisted or questioned.

Perhaps, these uniformed animals( I called them this because they consider you less than human being when on uniform) have never dealt with you before. Once you experience them once, nobody will have to tell you again that Nigeria is not for you.
