Hi local farmer, there is a big vegetable market at Ikeja. Many foreigners go there to buy vegetables. You can supply to them if you farm vegetables. Most of the vegetables come from Chinese farms

Where in Ikeja please, I'd like to visit the market

Don't mind these folks. Na ova sabi people. They can buy processed and canned foods as if they knew how it was prepared nor the dangerous chemicals present inside.

Just try giving out free indomie or sardines and see how they will scramble to get one.

In Nigeria we have talented and innovative people...if this fura da nono milk..this fura da nono milk can be set up as a company by an entrepreneur, a bussiness man or investor..where it can be well produced and refined and well packaged in a plastic bottle or in a container well designed with label ..sold locally in Nigeria and also exported to other countries...this will create jobs for the youths and nigerians and boost the economy and also generate foreign currency to the country when also exported ..if it was all this foreign countries abroad this fura da nono would had gone to the level of being produced by an entrepreneur in a company and produced, refined and well packaged in a bottle, plastic bottle, a container, tin well designed and labelled for local sales and consumption and exported to other countries for sale

Well, you have a good point, though we have some entrepreneurs up north who already key into that, (like Rufaida yougout). They have a eatery (KFC standard) where customer can walk in to buy and consume it there or take away.
The other part you mention may not be possible as it dairy and perishable, it need to be refridgirated and can not be stored for a long time. Moreover, there is nothing that beats consuming in its natural source.

After working in my Groundnut farm, I decided to buy Fura da Nono #500 as my lunch meal. Fura da Nono is a popular food that is common in Northern Nigeria and Countries where Fulani herdsmen are found.

Nono is 100% Cow Milk. While Fura is made from Milet. Fura da Nono has a unique taste. It contains the same vitamins and minerals that, the Milk we buy in our markets contain.

Fura da nono exist in other countries, it is called cottage cheese. A lot of them even make them in their houses, so why buy imported ones from Nigeria.

I use it to drink my tea. It's more cost effective and richer. Nono of 200 last 3 days and as far as it is stored in the fridge, all is well

Cool.
The problem is that, vegetables are perishable goods. Due to distance and bad Roads, it always takes over a day for good to arrive Lagos from the North.

However, I will do research on the best method of preserving and transporting Vegetables for long distance. So that the Vegetables will arrive Lagos freshly and in good state. When I am done with my research, I will contact you for information about the vegetable market in Ikeja. Maybe we can even run the business together.

I took the pictures below from a local, small vegetable market here in Kaduna

I think refrigerated trucks will do it at 1-4 degrees. Again the difficulty of doing business in Nigeria, either it is hard to find a refrigerated truck that can do the distance or overly expensive.

Do the trains from Kano have reefer containers ? That would be the cheapest means to transport these perishables to Lagos.

with a population of over 200 Million folks, the business opportunities are endless.

No worries, I have the manager’s number at Ikeja vegetable market.

I will also check the price of tokunbo refrigerated trucks (6 tyres) when I travel…

I couldn't bring myself to drinking this stuff during my stay in the north even though I would have loved to. The fear of drinking unsterilized milk kept me away from it.

It depends the following factors.
1- Type of Groundnut: There are varieties of Groundnut and the seedlings. Each Groundnut have a purpose. Some Groundnut are not meant for producing Groundnut Oil. Cause it contain less Oil. These types of Groundnut is the type that is mostly sold as cooked or fried Groundnut.

There is another type of Groundnut that is mostly used for making Groundnut Oil. You can't cook or fry such groundnut. It doesn't even taste sweet due to the high level of Oil it contains.

2- Location: The location of your farm will also determine the quantity of Groundnut you can produce. Fertilizer is not used for groundnut. So, the land must be naturally fertile.

Southern Kaduna People produce Groundnut in commercial quantity. Cause their land is good for Groundnut. However, they mostly farm the Groundnut that is used for producing Oil. These groundnut are usually exported or processed in factories that produce Oil. Some local groundnut oil producers also use it to produce Oil.

Nasarawa also farm Groundnut in commercial quantity. They mostly farm the other type of Groundnut that is mostly cooked and fried.

4- How you care for your farm- Everything you farm needs care. You must keep weeds and pests away from your farm. The Groundnut needs regular weeding to keep weeds away. For good harvest, during weeding, you must use hoe to draw more soil to the Groundnut plant. This will enable it produce more

Wow.....I just now know that the Groundnut we eat everyday are different from the Groundnut used to produce Groundnut oil. Thanks for your enlightenment

Bro talk true. Is it the Fura or Aisha? Lol

Drank this almost everyday during my NYSC in Bauchi state. They refrigerate it where I buy from, that makes it make more sense.

We're blessed in this country except for Religion and Tribalism. You will soon see one idiot make the post about tribe very soon.

.,.in the perishable aspect.
.in diary drink they normally put preservatives for it not to decay or perish
