Are you going to start subsistence farming as a tenant.

I started subsistence farming as a tenant. Our landlord was Igbo, so I paid him for use of his land with free access to my ugwu that I grew on his land.

It all depends on the amount of land you rent and your relationship with your landlord and how wise hunger makes you.

lol what do you mean? Tribalism and sentiments didn't allow some of you vote for the man eager to change Nigeria for the best, then you all voted for Mr Emilokan and now want everyone to be a farmer because it happens that way in other countries? Funny people.
If everybody turns farmer who go sell, will you plant tomato, rice, beans, garri for one farm?
A friend of mine gave 15,000 Naira to labourers to cultivate cassava in his farm at Anambra, now his in tension because he has to go and look after the crops and the transport fare is too expensive, he can't leave his job in Enugu just to go check after his crops . I told him to pay someone to do that,he was afraid he will lose his money and crops to thieves and for his village, you no fit beg person to help you

Elubo. Elubo is around 1800 per paint whilesale price at my base

If not that Nigerians are not research minded, 200,000 Naira invested into cassava farming can provide a family of 5-8 with Garri, fufu and the likes for at least 4-7 months of daily consumption
do you know how many months it takes for cassava to mature...also how much to get land for a year lease?

Have you tried sawdust? It's free from the sawmill or 50 Naira per garawa depending on the wood quality.

Alternatively, grow your own cassava and make your own gari.

You think many people don't want to farm!

I farm. 70% of the fulanis in my farm settlement know me. They even drive their cows through my farm boundary and do not affect nor attack my farm

I think you need to think a bit more about what you read and separate what you think you read from what I am saying.

I am from Osun State. My candidate lost the election. And in the other country where I sometimes live, I plant tomatoes on the window sill.

Don't you think you ought to do whatever needs doing to make your ends meet if they don't meet already?

No, everyone shouldn't need to be a farmer to make their ends meet. There's lots of people here not crying about gari because their ends meet already. But if your ends so don't meet that you need to be crying here about gari, then farming is an option, along with yahooism or ashewo or selling your organs or robbery.

And if you survive till the next election, consider using your pvc much more intelligently than you did in the past.
my riend please die this pvc talk.

the only purpose of a PVC is to make people "feel" like they voted whereas in reality, their so-called vote did not matter one bit. This goes a long way to forestall any uprising because the criminal politicians buy time (4 to 8 years in the case of Nigeria) to continue stealing from where they stopped.

Read my response to the person before you where I say were I plant tomatoes on the window sill.

The point is, farming does not necessarily need to be crops. With some imagination, some are planting actual money.

As for predicting how Nigeria would be in the future, yes, I predicted this future when Shehu Shagari won his second term. Despite knowing there was no way Awolowo could win, it was obvious that how we were going then would lead to where we are now.

And not to claim that I am any good at predicting futures, but I predict here now that anyone who thinks it is bad now does not realise how much worse its going to unfortunately get.

This is what I would want you who would not vote for me to believe. Meanwhile, I tell those who would vote for me to get their pvc early. That way, while you are sitting there claiming your pvc is useless, I get more votes and win the election and get to rule over you.

I call it, intelligent rigging. Though much more than just that is required, as you might note from my recent loss.

Did you hear me cry that I don't have gari or that I am hungry?

Perhaps read the thread so people don't think you are the animal here.

baba, there is nothing like intelligent rigging.

If everybody votes Mr. A and the criminals want Mr. B, on the day of results announcement, Mr. B will be declared the winner.
