Insensitive politicians!
Ordinary 60k is too much. Put yourselves in the shoes of the workers and see if you can survive on such amount of money!

Run a lean government, cut down waste and ghost workers. Intentionally improve governance systems and process and make it more efficient then step on toes and stop servicing useless state/national cartels (what many people call god-fathers).

You will see that you will free up so much resources and focus on critical things. Even western countries do this. The NHS UK has cut down waste and now working under strict budget for critical things like quality and safe patient care and any frivolous things that does add to this core objectives, they cut it off. Oil is supposed to be a blessing to us but now seems as though it’s a curse.

Make una go learn from Edo state governor Obaseki. Governance is not a rocket science just that most of una too dull no critical thinking.

These governors are illiterates, ignorant and grossly incompetent. They have nothing upstairs to enable them do the above. All they want is the status accrue to the office but when it comes to the actual competent work of governance...they fail woefully.

The governors are usually the problem, many of them hide behind the Nigeria Governors Forum to manipulate the conclusion of the meetings. Governor Abdulrasak Is paying about N50,000 or more, we would like to know those governors and states where N60,000 Is not sustainable? Let's have a list of such governors and states.

Kogi too will claim it doesn't have money to pay #60000. But Yahaya can use Kogis money to pay for hundreds of millions for his childrens life long school fees in advance . Ododo is useless.

This is where fiscal federalism must come. Dissolve and abolish the unitary system and let every region have control over their resources to generate revenue. Monthly FAAC is no longer fashionable and sustainable. Dump the unitary system Mr President.

Remove subsidy that's extra 600 billion monthly minimum that would be enough to cover minimum wage of 150k

Yes furl would sale for 1250 but it's what it is

This is Tinubu best time to free himself from subsidy and pin it on labour
Best he can pay with extra N8tn is 100k

Lagos and Edo are ready to pay while another like Abia is even resisting to pay a meager 30k.

The stupid PDP governor like Ochendo finished Abia state... I suggest let the governor get things in order, Abia will soon increase, as it's also an oil state

Maybe FG should stop giving them the allocation from subsidy removal, it seems they are enjoying the funds which has put so much weight on Nigerians and yet they do not want to pay civil servants what has not even been agreed on.

Just imagine the kind of country we found ourselves in. These are the same people who embezzle billions of Naira monthly. Yahaya Bello embezzled 80 billion naira & nothing was done till today, and they can’t pay just 60K. This country is like Zee World, Extraordinary every day
Re: BREAKING: N60,000 Minimum Wage Too High – Governors by Antoeni(m): 7:41pm On Jun 07
Any state in Nigeria that can't afford to pay minimum wage above 100k should be merged with its neighboring state. Such state is not worthy of being a state in Nigeria, it means without oil such state can't be functional. Sadly.

Governors should sack 2/3 of the state workers because they contribute nothing to the state. Let them go and farm. They pay the remaining 60k.Then give them serious target and checkmate corruption in those offices

Minimum wage should be state by state basis. States like Lagos, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Delta should be able to shoulder 100k considering their monthly allocations and revenues.

Federalism will solve a lot of problems in this country. Abuja should be nothing less than 150k.
