The winner of the Nigerian Premier League gets N150 million. If they can increase it to N500 million, I see private people getting involved and state governors building better sporting facilities. Enugu Rangers is definitely winning this league.

You think prize money for winning trophies is the reason why private firms buy clubs?

Seun and nairaland mods can do more for our local league by moving the matches to the front page on match days. Let's all contribute our little quota for the league to come back to life.

Who will put down the money to increase the prize, if not the private people?

Should you not be pushing for the clubs and the league itself to be fully privatised and deregulated like the telecom sector? How many European clubs and leagues are owned and run by the government? How was our music industry when Tony Okoroji was doing babiallah almajiri begging for government patronage?

Can you imagine how much Rangers can be sold for and listed on the NSE with 10% reserved for the supporters

I forsee a rebranding of the Nigerian Football League.

Are we not long overdue for that?

There is so much money to be made from the game, not forgetting the jobs to be created directly and indirectly too.

However we can't get the full juice until we privatise and deregulate the league and clubs like the Europeans and Americans.

I hope you don't mean the balablu ThiefNuibu used to smuggle himself into Aso Rock with the clueless help of gbajue Peter Obi. The shege promax from that magic no be here bro.

jameshankss:
Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has said he is sure the candidate of Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi, would lose the 2023 presidential election. Soludo said he would not submit to the bullying of Obi’s supporters, who recently descended on him for addressing issues in the state.

The governor made the comments in a lengthy write-up personally authored, with the title, “History Beckons, and I Will Not Be Silent (Part 1).”

Soludo said Obi was inadvertently making the pathway to victory much easier for the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, and at the same time, toying with the destiny of millions of Ndigbo.

Guy was probably born around 2009. Found that very hard to believe though undecided. If managed well, he will still play under 17 lipsrsealed angry

Fast forward - 4 years later, guy still playing under 23 with probably one Olympic attendance or win. After that, if he's lucky, he'll make it to Europe and start league proper and 2 - 3 years later. He's bound to retire grin......the Question is: at what young Age? 25Years?

The first sign that a team is serious about winning the NPFL is when the team flies it players over long distances.

Far better than spending 13 hours to a match venue
official air sponsors of the Nigerian clubs are, valuejet Remo starts, air Nigeria,( the logo of that airline is on enyimba jersey) enyimba, air peace rangers, akwa United. So far these are the ones I know that fly their teams for away games. I know Kano pillars too have an airline deal but don't know the airline
