Politicians will NEVER sign off on that.

The ONLY reason they got into Politics is to LOOT and LOOT and LOOT. Then when you think they are done, they'll LOOT some more.

A state governor that has done NOTHING for his state in 3 years would appoint MORE THAN 200 special assistants.

A senator that has NOT sponsored a bill in years would travel in a convoy of 6-7 cars. His entourage are wined and dined on public fund. Then he'll still get money for some hardship allowance.

Politicians EVERYWHERE are vessels of corruption and conduits for the rot in every society. Sane societies just try to curb their excesses with strong institutions and a solid constitution.

But Nigerians GLORIFY them. They defend them because of tribalism and ignorance. So they'll continue to get fleeced until kingdom come.

......some dullards will not want to read this article talk more of liking it because they hate it with passion, tribalism, religious beliefs and nepotism had killed their sense of good thought

Coming from someone who only made $$ from being a public servant. When he was a lecturer at UNN, he didnt have houses in Enugu, Abj, Lagos, UK et al…until he became a CBN governor. He moved his family to UK…
He accomplished all these with his govt salary??

Harvest season has nothing to do with price. It was same lie PMB told us that prices would come down when we support local production which sadly, never happened.
I meant that Nigerians should expect further increase in prices of most foodstuffs until the next harvest season, the food inflation on Nigeria is something else.

He wasn't right as some areas that did not experience insecurity like parts of ebony and Anambra just hiked the prices. There was no price control to ensure it was successful. The farmers just took advantage of that and determined their own price.

You have to see the big picture.

Sellers could raise prices because there was more demand than supply - there was more demand than supply because people were reluctant to go to the farm - people were reluctant to go to the farms because of insecurity. And I mean things like fulani bandits, and others.

The easiest thing to do in Nigeria is to become a saint when you are done looting. Especially if there has been a short period enough for the memory of Nigerians to forget after your tenure.

Obi is the best for the Easterners and all other Nigerians that seek for a good leader.

He has held public office in the past and he delivered.

His assessment as good leader went beyond the purview of Nigerian institutions.

MDGs rated him the number one governor in Nigeria for years an indices that transcend human capital development, health care system, education and economic growths

If you don't like Obi kindly don't rate him low.

The best from east now if Nigerians want Sterling leaders and president of eastern extraction if Prof. Yakub Mammud will change his ways of umpireship in INEC and allow free and fair contests are

Peter Obi

Ngozi Okonji Iwela

Alex Otti (At least for what we have seen so far)

Forget about Soludo. And I don't even want to talk about Umahi. I call him business politician. He only focuses on infrastructure where he corner contracts to his companies.

Any leader that doesn't include human capital development in his program has nothing to offer.

Thank you!

Fiscus105:

Obi is coming to power "only and only" to fulfill South East presidency.( You guys should stop all these dillusional and self deceit)

In as much I'm not against Obi or any easterner to become president,.....you guys should stop projecting Obi as saint and messaih of Nigeria.

IF I HAVE POWER TO INSTALL ANY IGBO TO BE PRESIDENT.

I will go for

OKONJO IWEALA.

SOLUDO.

UMAHI.

These 3 individuals are way, far ahead of Obi, in all ramifications when it comes to govern a country like Nigeria.

Talk is Cheap
He should implement it in his state with the Executive; all elected officials and their appointees should bot earn beyond N62K after one year he should publicize details of the elected and appointed executive officials accounts on all the major news media in the country.

Lets see if shame will not catch other Governors

I don't get what it is with people like you, y'all attack anything that's not from the tribe or region you support! Which of the people in government you support has ever suggested anything that would benefit the citizens directly!

There's no big picture to see and this is because of zero price control even with govt doling out loans to farmers, that was why the nonsense continues. Look at price discrepancies between north and south.

Can't agree more...

But it's just a dream. This won't ever happen in this "contraption" (according to late Baba Fela)

Since the country is poor and they have mouth to tell us so. Why are their earnings still unreasonably high ?

We're being scammed abeg. Its either they're lying that the country is poor or there's something we're not being told..

this is a big lie, prices of agricultural inputs and transportation have increased fivefold since APC came to power, the price of day old chicks and poultry feed is so high that it's almost impossible to make a decent profit.

What is the big lie that govt gave out billions in loans with no regulation and nothing to show for it? Using US as example, they enacted price control regulation in 1942 to curb inflation and your govt is sitting down doing nothing. Again, what is the big lie.

I was talking about high cost of production not price control, the government can't effectively control prices of crops that they didn't contribute anything to it's production.
