It depends on what I need.

If you think about it, nobody actually owes anybody food, or to farm for anyone.
Not even if they're ready to pay for it (a farmer can choose whether or not to sell his produce).
Nobody is obligated to farm/rear animals for anyone.
It is even a privilege for a farmer to sell you his produce.
It shouldn't be taken for granted.

From the beginning of time, man was meant take his destiny into his own hands, to grow his own food, and rear his own meat (that was God's original plan for man).
The problem with man is that he became lazy and too entitled, and would rather make excuses!

I disagree... Lol.

Society has evolved beyond that, and the massive population growth globally makes that impracticable.

How much land do we have for that?!! Do you understand the toil it will be on the lands?!!

Let's quit making excuses for our failure of leadership in this nation.

It's the responsibility of every nation's leadership today to ensure food is available for all citizens by ensuring agriculture is fully functional and mechanised.

Do some research please, and fact check me... Nigeria has 4 times more people farming and doing agriculture than all top food-producing nations on Earth!

Canada that I know very well has foodstuffs ridiculously cheap (ask around), but how many are farming?!! Less than 20% of the population!

If we keep making excuses for Leadership failure in Nigeria, nothing will change!

Things will get worse...!

How soon before these infidels killing and maiming our farmers move to destroying the crops of those in their houses?!!

Well... Let's keep managing what is abnormal... But, let's never stoop to the level of normalising it.

We are too mentally elevated for such self deceit.

I come in peace, my good Sister. cool

We are all sick in this country, all we do is come online and talk and tweet nonsense why the country deteriorate,

this nonsense can't happen in any country in the world and they will remain calm and be joking with it.

How can one man turn a country upside down and we are all afraid to hit the street and shut the country down.

Honestly how do people survive in this country basket of beans is almost 10k this is unbelievable, 10k can no longer cook pot of food for a family of 5 and some people are still saying we should give him more time.

To plant tomatoes here in jos is not that hard, let me just say these people are used to it. My friend cash out 1.2M from tomato planting in April.

Re: Lady Shows Off Tomatoes And Peppers She Bought For 7k, Laments About High Cost by onegig(m): 4:27am On Jun 19
When record keeping and lack of quality education is a problem in a country. This is what you see . Complaints alone every single day. If you just search through Nairaland as far back as 2012 you would multiple threads talking about the scarcity of Tomatoes in May to September. It is always the dame pattern . Rinse and repeat. Every year the same complaint.

Have Nigerians ever even been forward thinking to under why there is a glut in other months and scarcity during this period? And what do we suggest are the solutions? How are individuals preparing them for such scarcity? But nah, we only know how to open 500 tbreads and complain without taking action. We are back here next year to complain about the same thing. No out of the box thinking, no solutions.

I disagree, my friend. Our society has never lacked the means to feed itself. We have fertile lands, seasonal rains, and ample resources, so there is no reason anyone should go hungry in Nigeria. If you look on YouTube, you'll find numerous examples of how to plant crops in sacks, even in small spaces. While I'm not suggesting you grow everything you eat, starting with peppers and tomatoes can make a significant difference. If you grow enough to feed yourself, you can sell the surplus to address other needs.

If we dedicated even half the time we spend in churches and mosques to farming, we would never have to complain about hunger. Unfortunately, many people in Nigeria prefer to:

1. Beg
2. Pray
3. Complain
4. Consider suicide

Nigerians will never take practical steps to solve their problems. They are waiting for "Manna" to fall from heaven or for some mysterious " divine favour".

If your wife does any of the following, and it is okay with you, please stop sounding like Mumu when she sleeps with different men. It was right there in your face:

1. Wear waist beads
2. Wear leg beads or chains
3. Has tattoo on any or all part of her body
4. Sprays her hair to golden or bright colour.
5. Has nose rings
6. Has more than one earring, per ear.
7. Has a personal car.

Don't get it twisted. All these are beautiful and fashionable. But it is what it is.

Enough said

No, growing Onions is as easy as growing Tomatoes too.
Cut the onion into non equal Half. You need the part of the Onion with Roots.
Fiill with water, a small cup that it brim circumference is a bit smaller to the lower circumference of the other part of the onion you cut in unequal half. Now place the part of the onion with Roots on the water-filled cup.

After some days, the Onion would start sprouting new seedlings which you then need to separate from one another and plant them in a separate rich soil filled sacks or polythene bags.
