Go to Ministry of Education website, they offer results verification services.
But you'll have to pay, the last time I checked was 3,000 per certificate.

Some universities have a certain kind of seal on the original certificate which could be scanned to verify its veracity.

There is no way u will attend good schools that u won't know u are working towards getting genuine certificate. It starts from 100 level. You cutting corner to get admission and u are looking forward to genuine certificate. Is it not a big issue?

Verification of result comes at a cost. It is only the school that has the authority to verify any certificate

The process is very simple. An employer (or an institution) sends a letter to the school. School replies with the result. Student either was or wasn't their student. If he or she was their student, they may add the result achieved.

When my former employer got a new general manager, they sent such letters for each employee. 30% of the results came back negative, lol. Employees were either faking the result, or were never students where they claimed they graduated from.

Send mail or call the registrar of the school.

Most of them have their phone number on their websites.

Most times, it takes ages for the school to respond, just get the school phone number and out it on auto redial.

They'll definitely attend to your enquiry.

Okoh, I don’t know about your own, but my own certificate no useless at any point in my life. School na scam because some passed through school without school passing through them. Whether you’re presently working with your Cert. or not, should not be a determinant of its value. No matter how many times you draw $ on a piece of paper it still can’t compete with the real one! But different strokes for different folks tho. cool

dear friend,
Simply take the certificate close to ur face. Look through a transparent light you will see the Nigerian printing and minting watermarks inscription on the background of the
certificate. If you can't find that know it's fake if the employee can offer you the services u need, without errors, then I suggest you forget the authenticity of the certificate and employ him/her except in medical fields

I think schools across the country send the names of their certified graduands to Ministry of Education. So, it's just for them to open the portal to verify if the claimants name is there.

You are asking this question in an unfunctional system. You should know that things like this don't work in Nigeria. To date, some of the top politicians cut up with certificate scandals, and attempts to verify their certificates failed because of corruption.

They always have a verify link where you can input the verification code on the certificate. E.g for lautech, use
