The budget Fmr President Buhari signed in 2023 wasn’t fully implemented because they lacked the funding.

What this current administration has simply done is to ask the National Assembly, which is within their constitutional right if parts of the budget that wasn’t fully implemented could be implemented, if we can generate the funds? The NA said go ahead, but we extending it to Dec 2024.

If judiciously spent, it would basically mean more projects for Nigerians to benefit from. In my earlier analogy, it simply means the current government will fulfil past and present orders together.

So if N2 billion was budgeted for health ministry in the unfulfilled budget of 2023, the health ministry get that money plus the current money, which they are entitled to, thus making them more buoyant to fulfil their objectives.
