Tinubu's track record as a leader and his efforts in promoting youth inclusion and economic development in Lagos state, debunk any false claims about his ability to lead as the President of Nigeria.

You can't even muster a good sentence. Tinubu's track record my foot. Fake track record that can't be proven. If he was that good as a governor in Lagos, why can't he prove it now as the president of Nigeria? It simply means the so-called track record was fake.

ECOWAS has lost its relevance that's why they keep making empty brains like Buhari and Tinubu as its Chairman. No wonder some member countries are walking away from the organization. They've got nothing to offer.

he has diplomatic skills and Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali pulled out of ECOWAS, the first time in the history of the group that countries now feel they no longer need ECOWAS
And tinubu was the reason why?

Coup happened in those countries and things change for them. Was it Ecowas that sponsored the coup?

Well, it's no surprise that Tinubu has been reelected as ECOWAS chairman. His strong leadership and vision have proven time and time again that he is worthy of this position. It's a shame that the PDP, who ruled Nigeria for 16 years, has never been able to produce such a respected and capable leader
Place your Jagaban side by side with Obj even in his old age Tinubu doesn't measure up, not to talk about Jonathan who have been a shining light in contemporary Africa. Your Tinubu is an incompetent, clueless leader who have got nothing to offer rather have taking Nigeria backward from first Economy in Africa to the fourth, causing hunger, starvation and death amongst his people

cheesy

Your choice of an ECG to represent BAT's logo is an unfortunate one that captures the situation perfectly...unintentionally of course.

The administration is on life support and it is flat-lining...with an economy in utter turmoil and very serious social problems that get worse with each day that passes.

Every second counts but the administration doesn't seem to know this.

The clock is ticking...

They will continue to elect Nigerian president as the leader of the ECOWAS because of what they get from Nigeria.

Nigeria with it's Debt profile is still seen as a cash cow.
Re: Tinubu Re-Elected As ECOWAS Chairman by ArcSEMPECJ(m): 8:29pm On Jul 07, 2024
Nobody is surprised he was re-elected, ECOWAS recognizes Nigeria as the Giant of Africa irrespective of the flaws of the Tinubu led administration.....

ECOWAS has nothing to gain or lose giving it back to TINUBU...

Even some countries under them have pulled out , left the democratic nonsense and formed a Military Government....

Upon all the grab grab from Tinubu, All those countries are waxing stenger now...

So congratulations to Tinubu for retaining what has no meaning to a general interest of Africans

Yeah, nice one.
But reality is that currently Nigerians are facing unprecedented hardship at a level previously unknown to them.
OK, lets assume it was coincidence. He then became ecowas chairman, war almost started, 3 major countries in terms of land mass have dumped ecowas.

Diplomatic skills ke!!! Under his watch three countries have separated from Ecowas and you say diplomatic skills. Someone who couldn't handle Niger crisis well for the first time a west African country call off our bluff and did what they want to do. The issue here is that no West African leader wants the post for now. Ghanaian president is due for elections and he is outgoing. Togo has issues he is battling with. Ivory Coast is due for elections. Senegalese leader is just new on the seat. So it is common sense that Tinubu remains there for now

I weep for how daft and dense Nigerians especially Ronu bigots on nairaland can be. First of all the power blocs in Ecowas are Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Ivory Coast and Senegal. Let us look at the political outlook of these countries. Ghanaian elections are due and the president is not returning, so it makes no sense keeping or electing him, Togo leader has internal issues to deal with and will not be seen as democratic in nature, Ivory Coast is due for elections and will not return, the Senegalese leader is a rooky for now. So it is common sense that Tinubu would be re-elected again.

Nothing remain for ECOWAS when members are forming alliances, go to YouTube and watch the heroic welcome accorded to Captain Ibrahim Traore on his arrival in Niger Republic for the Sahel countries summit, no ECOWAS leader will receive such a rousing organic welcome even in their various countries not to mention in a foreign land. Nobody in Nigeria gives a damn if ECOWAS Heads of State are in the country or if Tinubu gets elected as a dormant Chairman of ECOWAS
even the most stupid leader do enjoy such level of accolades from his stupid supporters
