I still remember how they insulted Obasanjo the greatest President in history of Nigeria when he said this

Knowledgeable people know it won't work except on the basis of being a drain pipe.

The fact is Nigeria can never I repeat never get better economically untill a messiah and an incorruptible person step into government and wipe out this nonsense

He should sack everyone in Nnpc and refinery.
Those people are criminals and mafia.
He revoke licence of some importers that don't want the refinery to come up including the ones that don't want dangote to supply fuel to Nigerians.
He should stop complaining,he should take action, he is the president and not a complainer. L

The solution is to sack them and revoke licenses of those wicked petrol importers.
The importers are bribing them not to repair the refinery, is Tinubu not aware?
Those fuel importers are blood sucking demons, he should be bold to confront them and also revoke their licences and sack everyone in Nnpc and refinery.
That is the solution, he should thank me lster

Nigerians are the most gullible people on earth.

NNPC cabals that are throwing their face away from giving Dangote refinery crude oil are the same NNPC that you people believe will fix any refinery in Nigeria.

Nigeria as a country deserve to continue to suffer forever

With these failures by NNPC?

Port Harcourt refinery should be working by now!

Also, give Dangote the required crude he needs at international rates to supply locally. The Nigerian gov won’t lose revenue doing that.

Once Dangote starts supplying all our local needs, subsidy even if brought back, it would be cheaper than what we pay to international suppliers.

The subsidy should last until CNG and solar charging spot for electric cars and lorries are installed across the country. Sun is free, the solar charging infrastructures can be installed in some filling stations, together with CNG.

The effects of subsidy removal won’t be felt if alternatives are available in mass quantity. If I bring electric cars to Nigeria, Nigerians will buy in quantity if only the charging spots are ubiquitous. Food transporters will also buy electric lorries, making the cost of food prices cheap, but how will they charge it? Diesel price volatility is partly why there is food inflation.

The President should make the energy problem a multi pronged solution. Diesel, PMS, CNG and Solar charging spot should all be available, after which you can say “to hell” to subsidy.

I doubt they fully comprehend the extent of the problems that make Port Harcourt Refinery non-operational, and think they will just say "let there be refined petrol in April", and miraculously there would be refined petroleum in April.

I guess there next April though in 2025, or 26, or 27, or 3028 even.

The cabal that refuses to supply fuel to Dangote is also preventing the completion of PH refinery. Tinubu has to wield the big stick on NNPC top management immediately. Otherwise they will continue to emasculate the system. They just want to destroy local production so as to go back to subsidy system.

Usman said the government is worried about key uncompleted projects by NNPC, a source told TheCable.

Specifically, the government official said the NNPC has continued to delay the completion of state-owned refineries — including the Port Harcourt refinery.

This, according to Usman, followed the “mechanical completion” of the rehabilitation work on a section of the refinery on December 21, 2023 — with assurance that operations would commence after the Christmas break.

tinubu government officials now blaming each other for tinubus failure.

it seems there is saw dust in this ladys brain. NNPC is under the ministry of petroleum of which tinubu is the minister. how come this lady is now blaming NNPC as if NNPC is a body independent of tinubus control?

I said it when one zombie opened a thread here asking people to like and share ministers that it was an effort in futility and a diversion tactic at best.
Ministers and other appointees report to the president. It doesn't matter what Nigerians think of them as long as their boss is happy with them, they'll remain on the cabinet.
It is the president that should ultimately be held responsible by Nigerians. Any other thing is a waste of time

An effective rail system between north and south is enough to lead to massive reduction in food prices. Will the cabal in the transport and oil sector allow for the development of such rail system?

I hope you know that Dangote hates competition, so he is not lamenting over the never ending date for the completion of the ph and warrior refineries.

I know he hates competition but he currently has a working refinery that can save Nigeria lots of money. The money saved can then be used to build effective competing facilities for Nigerians.

The only way we can get things to work is if private people have vested interest. Nigerian gov can’t run anything. It’s not Dangote’s fault that PH refinery isn’t working currently.

For the refineries to function, NNPC needs a radical shakeup.

Mele Kyari and his goons must be swept away from office and inject fresh hands who are technocrats. A competent hand like Austin Avuru who has been a major player in the industry for over 40yrs could salvage the situation.

He was ex MD of Seplat Energy limited and was actively involved in the formation.

Tinubu has touched every sectors of the economy for revitalisation. Except Oil Sector.
Maybe, he has a pack with the North that he will not touch oil sector on assumption of office.

Until he applies the Big Stick in NNPC, things will not change for the better. More so, Oil is the Nexus that binds us together as a nation.
