Hon. Olaide Akinremi (Jagaban), representing the Ibadan North federal constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives, has passed away. 51 years old Akinremi, who was the former senior special assistant to the governor of Oyo State, was elected as a House of Representatives member under the All Progressives Congress (APC) and served from 2019 until his death on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. In a statement signed on Wednesday, House Spokesman Chairman and House Committee on Media and Public Affairs Rep. Akin Rotimi Jr. announced that Akinremi died after a brief illness.
