I think these labor guys are time wasters, they really have nothing to offer the workers.

Government will settle them, I guess that's all they are after.

Nigerians aren't cowards, they are just wiser
Ordinary endsars, some ppl turned it political to witch-hunt their 'enemies'.
Was it not the same endsars that kanu asked d millions of his kinsmen to attack lagos state, Tinubu and sanwo-olu??
Was it not the same thing that happened in Jan 15 1966 that also played out during the endsars where some ppl neglected their own ppl/region and focused on the attack and destruction of the leaders and properties of another region??

Some 'ppl', once they hear 'revolution/protest', all that's in their mind is how to inflict destruction to to d lives and properties of hausas and yoruba ppl

This labour president and his immature followers are not serious.

Marry a virgin woman if you want to bare legitimate children.
If you married a woman who was fvcked and mounted by many men, you will train her ex children thinking they're yours.

The fact, though painful to admit for many people is that even a 100k minimum wage,if implemented vigorously in both public and private sectors, would collapse the Nigerian economy.
The goverment should rather find and implement serious holistic measures to drastically improve the value of the Naira such that even a 62k minimum wage would have a value of 250k

Nice one. They must reduce the cost of governance to meet up with the demand. The presidency and state government.

Selfish wicked leaders! Something evil about the black leaders, they can’t suffer any slight discomfort and want the people to suffer. These people are made already yet can’t cut the cost of governance for the sake of the citizens suffering. People can barely feed this days

Good question, it is because those 2000 people used the head of 200 million people to corner the wealth of the "minority of 200 million people". Originally shishi no gum the majority.

That statement of yours should serve as a major indictment against the government, and not a reason for Labor to pull back on its demand. If the government cannot even pay its workers a decent wage of at least $157 a month even after spending so many billions of dollars to supposedly improve the lives of the very same people, then that government needs to be uprooted, don't you think? undecided

Good decision. Anything less than 150k is slavery considering the rate of inflation in the country
NLC is really pushing for a just course, now I see it. Imagine a country where the political ruling class gives the impression that the country is bleeding financially urging the general masses to tighten belt yet but these same ruling class earns fat salaries and live life lavish.

Labour leaders have seen through the hypocrisy and lies of these callous politicians, therefore demanding this much from FG.

Nigeria has money , so much money that minimum wage of even 200k per head won't even affect Nigeria's financial wealth.

Out of all the multitudes commenting on this topic...only this guy get brain.

Give 500k per month as the minimum wage, the impending inflation will swallow all of that up in a few months. Those policies are killing the buying power and leading economy to recession

The biggest mistake was devaluing the currency with no back up plan. His administration is plagued and doomed for ever.

Helpfromabove1:
Insist on reversal on all the anti people policies that he did

Start from reverse on Naira floating, subsidies removal until our refineries are working

The 250k will on be useless, inflation will catch up with it

Use your brain. Such increase will create more problems especially for the larger population not employed Even those that will benefit from it will still cry its not enough.

House rent will double or triple. School fees will rise. Cost of food items will soar. Don't be shocked if bag of rice gets to 150k. Cup of garri will cost N500. One cube of sugar N5. I could go and on.

I am not against increase but not by that wide margin once. It can start from 60k. After a while 100k. etc.

The reason I said Nigeria has so much is because the country earns enough revenue through oil and other means to take care of her citizens comfortably but graft practices among political office holders, reckless financial management and unaccountability and bad policies make it look like Nigeria is not earning enough.
So when I say that Nigeria has so much money it is not in the relative context to other countries who are way richer than Nigeria.

Were dey worry Una. ....how many private companies wan give his or her staff 250 k per month....

Unrealistic expectations.....

You ain't seeing that money big, ten years ago minimum wage was 19000 which could buy two bags of Rice the amount that can buy two bags of rice today is 150k to 170k. What then is the issue? It's like they want it increased from 160k (same value as 19000 in 2014) to 250k in today's money. What is the issue?

For the private sector you are talking about how many of them have respected our old minimum wage ? Even the current one most of them aren't paying what is the issue then?
