A Kano State High Court presided over by Justice Amina Aliyu has perpetually restrained Aminu Ado-Bayero and four other deposed Emirs of Bichi, Rano, Gaya and Karaye from parading themselves as Emirs.

Delivering the judgment on Monday, Justice Aliyu further restrained the 15th Emir of Kano and four other dethroned Emirs by themselves, servants, privies and any other persons appointed by them from parading themselves as Emirs of Kano, Bichi, Gaya, Rano, Karaye.

Recall that the Kano State Government had filed a suit asking the state High Court to stop the 15th Emir, Bayero, and four other Emirs of Karaye, Bichi, Rano and Gaya from parading themselves as Emirs.

The government also gave the deposed Emirs 48 hours within which to vacate their respective palaces after being deposed.

However, Justice Aliyu said while delivering the judgment, that the issue of evicting the deposed Emir, Bayero, from his Nassarawa mini palace is a rent tribunal matter and is not before it.

In her judgment, she directed the deposed Emir and four other former Emirs to quickly hand over all the Emirate Traditional Royal Artefacts to the government and the substantive Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.

Justice Aliyu also said that the State Assembly Emirate Council Repeal Law 2024 was done according to the Law as enshrined in Section 4 of the Constitution.

Similarly, she ruled that the State Governor, Abba Yusuf, assenting to the law is also done perfectly according to the Constitution.

In rivers , the appeal court nullified the state high court based on jurisdiction and everyone accepted since it favored the Abuja rat.

It's the jurisdiction of the Kano high court to rule over matters of traditional rulers and it did so but the same powers in Abuja refuse to accept this order from the only court that has jurisdiction over it .

Lol and someone will open mouth and tell me Nigeria will be better with these old fools in power

The rofo-rofo fight for the Kano Emirate continues. The solemn truth is that the law would only recognised any decision of the Kano State government because the emirship is not within the purview of the FG.

So all the iberiberism and shenanigans by Gandollar to get a foothold in Kano politics using the instrumentality of state is all effort in futility. Woe betide Gandollar the day APC will fall out from the national stage. He will surely go to jail.

The same state government that enacted a law repealed it but those it favoured then won't obey it now.

Tinubu's regime has to be the worst ever in Africa.

I’m not sure what we call democracy anymore . I can’t imagine this happening in a sane country.

Well said look at what this country is dragging for months ! Look at how they keep making sure there’s no hope for this country to be better. The same law that removed A , now cannot remove B

COMRADES, I don't know why Bayero is so desperate for this Title

It's like the traditional title post is lucrative

It’s political power play against 2027.. How Will Bayero get funds from a government that don’t want you . It’s the state government that provides funds for traditional rulers

FG is actually interfering in state matters unnecessarily. The federal high court had no business hearing the emir-ship case in the first place.

It is the job of the state high court and not the federal high court to rule over matters concerning emirs in the state

cheesy

if you find yourself being supported by tinubu criminals and online miscreants and bambialas just know that you're getting it wrong as a human being because they hate positivity and loves chaos and suffering as far as they see it as an avenue to talk about their superiors who are igbos.

useless sets of criminals
thunder scatter them
thunder scatter tinubu.

congratulations to Emir Muhammed Sanusi II

It’s the federal might that is actually the problem .
Call it abuse of power once its under the jurisdiction of the state government or state court , then power resides on who ever controls the state . Tell ganduje to stop dragging power with a state governor

Yes deniably a verbal mis use of word he blantanly said was not what they interpreted it to be . Enough reason to not only be removed but banned from ever stepping into the state ? While the man who was captured with bribes in his office is stopping a governor from exercising his powers . We are not ready to move forward in this country
