BREAKING: HON. PAUL IZA RESIGNS MEMBERSHIP OF PDP

….. Cites Absence Of Internal Party Discipline, Inability To Maintain Control

Honourable Paul Iza, a prominent and respected grassroots mobilizer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Kaduna state has resigned his membership of the party, citing indifference of the party leadership to effectively, manage the grounds gained in the years past, absence of internal party discipline and most unfortunately, lack of decisive leadership within the party.

The prominent PDP chieftain who worked tirelessly for the successes of the party especially at the grassroots level where he secured victory for the party and delivered his Ungwan Sarki Ward 7 consistently in all elections, expressed his dissatisfaction with the way and manner the leadership of the party managed its affairs. He cited indiscipline, lack of transparency, absence of sustainable leadership and worse of all, inconsistencies in programmes.

In his letter of resignation which was addressed to the Chairman of Ward 7 in Ungwan Sarki and dated 11 July, 2024, Paul Iza stressed that his resignation was effective 12 July 2024.

As a stakeholder of the party, Iza served as a member of the Atiku Support Organization (ASO) where he served in several committees. He was also the Kaduna state Ambassador, Princess Rukaiya Atiku Campaign Organisation, Atiku 2023 (PRACO); Stakeholder PDP Ungwan Sarki Ward 7, Kaduna North and; Member, Kaduna Atiku Support Groups.

Hon. Iza while achieving successes for the PDP, was the Supreme Leader of the Atiku Champions' Network, ACN, a group of party faithful that has membership across some northern states that mobilized support for the PDP and its electoral candidates.

His exit from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has been described as a loss to the party especially now that it is with its political fragmentation.
