When miscreants are involved, hiring both police and private security agents will be enough to handle the situation.

But when a state government is involved, hiring the military and security agents will usually not be enough. The government can easily shut down the market or even demolish the market just to spite Igbos, who are not even involved in the protest, and there is nothing the security agents will be able to do about it.

The best response in such a situation is to become a part of their problem by Igbos outside Igboland, joining the protest in their tens of millions.

I don't think the government are interested in such.
Tinubu want to rule and pack his money in peace.
Ndiigbo should stay clear.
Simply hiring private security agents, police and military to protect the markets will get the job done in my humble opinion.
Let's stop the paranoid attitude.
Tinubu need the markets doing well and remitting enough tax for him to recoup his investments into Nigerian politics.
Why should he want to destroy the market if we don't start joining the stupid protest?

It doesn't make sense nwannem.

A government that demolished LANDMARK and countless other Igbo business interests, may be more interested in their Lagos political hegemony than the tax remittances the government are getting from business establishments.

Well let us hope the Lagos state government will not disturb the hornet's nest, as things could spiral. Ordinarily, one should expect governments to protest business interests are they are a huge source of income for the state, but we are living in weird times.

It is what it is bro.
The war you want to fight now has been fought and lost in 1967-70.

Unless you now have superior weapons and atleast one of the Five super powers, preferably China or Russia to back you now, I'd suggest you pipe low and don't be another Nzeogwu that will set in place a chain reaction that will lead to same result.
Remember that it started as Operation Wetie and Wild Wild west in the Western region, but in the end, it ended in Biafran war with the rest of the country Vs Igbo.
We must learn our lesson and learn to stay off such issues and mind our business.

If you want to help Igboland. Help in making sure no such protest takes place in your part of Igboland, join in Aku luo uno campaign, join in the Unification of Igboland project, protest for good governance from our governors.

That's how you show love to yourself as an Igbo man and to Igboland our motherland.

Udo.

APC is an abomination in Igboland.
Know this and know peace.
Even APC people know this and they don't take Igbos who are in APC in their midst serious.
Because they know such people have no political capital and can't deliver SE to them in any national elections and they press this home by making sure they politically exclude SE from appointments and selections in places of power.
You are the average Nigerian allergic to the truth, so I'm not surprised by your opinions here.

E be like say your brain dey pain you
APC is an abomination in Igboland yet APC have the majority in the entire Igboland

Nzeogwu and Indeed Enuani people are bonafide Igbos.
They don't need to prove anything.
They have always represented Ndiigbo.
Dennis Osadebey was one of the early founding fathers of Igbo Union, and Asagba Asaba was grand patron of Ohaneze Ndiigbo before his death.
Professor Emenanjo from Enuani also laid down the basis of modern Igbo language study..

Which majority?
Lol! Most Igbo Commoners always associated APC with backwardness since before 2015 elections and events so far have proven them right.

Personally however, I don't have issues with APC .
If they will serve Igbo interests which right now involves:
1. Unification of all Igbo clans by seeding them all to SE.
2. Non FG interference in our local gubernatorial elections in SE, so that we can elect better governors without rigging or Supreme court imposition.

I will become a staunch APC supporter and support them to rule over Nigeria for the next 100years grin

Infact, if ever there was anything like first class Igbos, then it would be Enuani people.
They have always played key roles in all turning points of Igbo history.
The first conference on Igbo language was held in Asaba.
Enuani sons played key roles in the foundation and running of Igbo State Union.
Nzeogwu was pivotal in events that led to Biafran war.
Nzeogwu, Achuzia, and many Enuani sons played vital roles in defending Biafra.
Ralph Uwaechue and Anioma man was the Ohaneze Ndiigbo president during GEJ era which represents Nigeria and Indeed Igbos best era of economic boom since 1999.
Prof Emenanjo from Enuani laid down the foundation of modern written Igbo language and mentored all prominent Igbo language scholars of our time.

Unfortunately, no such thing as first class or second class Igbo.
It's just one Igbo.

These are reasons why no reasonable and Igbo thinking Igbo man should be involved in the planned protest:

1. You have already been marked as number one opposition to APC.
Once this protest starts, you will be used as the scapegoat by the government to teach others lessons, while others will stylishly rescind and even join in bashing you.
It has happened before. Stay off the useless protest.

2. You stand to gain nothing from the protest. If Tinubu resigns or steps down, you are not 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th in line to take over from him.
You will be stupid to offer Igbo head to be used to break a coconut others will enjoy while you stay sidelined as usual.

3. The protest in the SE will easily be hijacked by questionable characters like Simon Ekpa who is being controlled by external anti Igbo elements within and outside Nigeria. Simon Ekpa and his branch of IPOB are fifth columnists and Trojan horses implanted by enemies of Ndiigbo to destroy our land.
If you stupidly join this protest, Ekpa will make sure destruction and confrontation with Nigerian army happens by unleashing his armed boys to cause mayhem and justify Nigerian army violence on all of us.
Be careful not to start what you don't have control over.

4. SE is not the worst hit by APC failure in governance.
We always knew APC had nothing to offer hence as a progressive race, we have stood as a bastion of stiff opposition to APC since 2015 and have paid the ultimate prize of political exclusion for it while the rest of Nigeria including SS got a fair share of political representation in APC, as they have held both deputy senate and Senate posts so far. APC has made sure they returned our resentment towards them with political exclusion and banishment for us.
We knew APC will fail and are better prepared to endure this reality than the rest of the country who claim to be better at playing politics. There is therefore no need to pretend like we expected better from APC by joining a useless protest.
The whole idea of protest is to register a dissatisfaction because you expected better. This isn't the case with SE, hence the redundancy of a protest in SE. Let those who know how to play politics and expected better from APC do the protest.

5. Sometimes, silence is the best answer or what we call "masterly inactivity". We need to retain tactical silence in Nigeria now, stay off issues, let the "owners of Nigeria " to sort themselves out.
You know the popular axiom of "If you wait long enough by the river banks, you will see your enemies float by".
This should be our plan with Nigeria going forward.

With all these reasons outlined so far, it's now obvious why a protest is not the solution for SE.
Let Tinubu see off his 8years and let Shettima do his too.
Let's work with this mindset. Let's get ourselves prepared to win this economic endurance marathon. We are best prepared to win this torture than the rest than the rest of Nigeria as non of them have had to endure 1/100th of what we endured in Biafra or in post Biafra Nigeria until now.
Don't join them, your reality are not same as theirs.
Cheta na Oke solu Ngwere maa mmili, okoo Ngwere, ogaghi akoo Oke.
Let's put more emphasis on our state governors, if there should at all be any protest, let it be to demand for better utilisation of our share of the national allocation from our governors down to local government chairmen.
Let the Aku luo Uno continue.
Let's find a way to flush those Simon Ekpa terrorists that have besieged our lands in Southern Anambra and Northern Imo out.
Let's return peace to our land, grow our economy. Let's live like FG and Nigeria does not exist.

We can do this Umunnem.
You're very right especially on that part of APC ekperima agent in Finland.

Some of our people don't know the criminal and his armed boys are working against Ipob and Igbo land.

You will be alright in the end.
Tinubu will do 8yrs and Shettima will do 8yrs as well, all you can do is bark and shout on and offline.

Who says there is nothing for Igbos. There is enough for Igbos, we receive monthly FG allocations, all we need to do is protest widely and violently if need be during our gubernatorial elections to put in good governors in place.
To eschew atavistic and primordial sectarian and parochial clannish sentiments in choosing best heads as our governors and we will be fine.

Yes the North woke up, they want to use yeye protest threat to force Tinubu to give them more appointments or to oust him and get Shettima installed.

Are you any good at playing politics?
Of course Tinubu will do 8yrs and Shettima will do same too.
The energy needed to stop them does not exist and Ndiigbo will not be a part of such, as we have better places to channel that energy.
I'm a realist.
Tinubu will do 8yrs and Shettima will do 8yrs too. The earlier you accept that, the better for you.

As for the Ronu accusations, that's ridiculous, you must be new on NL to not know this moniker and what I stand for.

You made partial sense in your first thread, this one is totally paid campaign for the Govt.

Rules of Power - Power is taken and never Given. Inactivity will always deny you power. However, there are other aspects to power, Opportunity and Timing.

In the past, because Igbos do not practice centralised leadership, one or two individuals takes initiative, but early action only creates opportunities for other political players, unless you are dominating the arena.

When, Ahamadu Bello launched his plan to subsume other regions, with sabotage planned for the West, and Violence Planned for the east after the fall of the west. Muritala Mohamed was already visiting London as reported by Edwin Clark, meaning the military action was blessed by part of Westminister.
The intelligence, led to the 1966 coup which nipped him in the bud, saving Awolowo from Bello's plan. Yet, same Awolowo whose region was already facing Bello's onslaught, mainly saw the events ((with the intelligence) as opportunity to grab power which had been denied him by the prowess of Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe.
The average Igbo till today finds it perplexing and an incomprehensible. He took no initiative, but mate he'd the timing with the opportunity.
Nzeogwu, and Ironsi created the Opportunity, especially by acting too early without the necessary political opoortunity. Can you imagine how things would have turned out if they had waited for the demise of Awolowo before their own military action. Even allowing the Jan 17th coup to go on.

Similarly, Ironsi created opportunities for the North to recover their leaked military action, by embarking on Unification, at the wrong timing. Gowon and Co were close to him only because he wanted to be perceived as a unifier.

As Igbos,
We must refrain from acting alone, so that we must also
1. Refrain from Acting too Early
2. Match the political opportunity to the right timing

In simple terms, in this case of protest,
1. Igbo's must not start a protest, they will only be created an opportunity for others.
2. Should the prolific North start a protest, Igbos should take advantage of it, to further their goals for Nationalisim and power.

The case of being Dormant and inactivity, does not pay. Just do not be the first to act!

Dem dey try to rehabilitate you from your delusion, but you insist that you must bear agony for 16years.

Say no to protest in the east. So that in future no body from the south west will try the nonsense they did in ojota under jona. Secondly, no protest will lay to rest any Yoruba man critiquing any govt in future when they have failed.

The Ojota protest you continue to reference is the reason why Yorubas realised that they should stop protesting when their own brother or political ally is in power.

For the first time since democratic Nigeria, the igbos then and till now made the 2012 anti-subsidy protest a Yoruba and North protest, despite that all of Nigeria enjoyed the reprieve that came from that protest.

We will always remember your treachery and unlike the protests during the Obasanjo and Yar'Adua regimes, we will not lead any protest against our own political benefits like SouthEast and SouthSouth proved to us in 2012.

Thanks for reminding us all the origin of the ethnic classification of a national protest. Till today, you refer to the Ojota protest of 2012 as a tribal nonsense, so every other protest must remain a tribal nonsense.

And that is how and why protests have been hard under the Buhari and Tinubu regimes, because it is all nonsense as defined by the SouthEast and SouthSouth.
