The joke on this is that Civil servants will stay for months without getting salary. Nigeria is getting depleted, the government is borrowing to function and still stealing from borrowed money, the debt is being settled with future oil production, the past debt is being settled with current oil production. Nigeria is now a nation of hungry people! But "Na statistics we go chop" 10 Likes |

70k for what exactly? For a young man just starting a family, growing kids, with the inflation, and the terrible economy? What has labour achieved with their struggles, or were they just playing the whole Nigeria people? What's happening someone please enlighten me. 3 Likes |

Should Nigerian politicians also earn N70, like Nigerian workers? For comparison, Singaporean lawmakers are the highest paid in the world, earning approximately $900,000 per year, while ministers earn $1.1 million and their president earns $1.7 million. The US president earns $400,000, and US congressmen earn about $178,000. Leaders in countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Monaco, Norway, and Sweden, as well as in Europe, also earn humongous salaries. What do these countries have in common? Good governance, a high quality of life, minimal corruption, and leaders who demonstrate public accountability. Can we actually prove these about Nigeria? No. Nigeria is a prime example of a country where higher salaries do not significantly impact leadership quality 3 Likes |
