Two healthy meals per day? = 2094. It means the Minimum wage can support an individual for 33 days not to talk of those with families. Then we have to factor other expenditures. Anyway, I wish Nigerians well. |

press9jatv:The value of the money is already dropping as we speak as the Naira edges closer by the day towards Naira 2000 per dollar. Hunger is loading and NLC members will not be spared the suffering. |

What this means is that Tinubu's minimum wage can only feed a single individual at least twice a day, for one month, no money for clothing, transportation to work, rent, fuel, utility bills, etc., not to mention savings. As for a family man or woman with kids on minimum wage, it can only feed just a single member of the family twice a day for one month. The other members of the family goes hungry. Tinubu continues to make history in infamy as the worst president Nigeria has ever had. He has become the only president in the history of this country who approved a new minimum wage that couldn't afford a bag of rice. It shall not be well with those who worked and supported and encouraged this calamitous Tinubu regime. 2 Likes |

Kobojunkie:either naira hit 2k per dollar or not, Nigeria economy will rather be good or bad. The economic saboteurs destroyed the economy too. |

This increased minimum wage is just like taking Panadol to cure Malaria. Yes, it provides relief from headache symptom but doesn't cure Malaria. The actual problem is high inflation not wages. If nothing is done about rising inflation, very soon the 70k will become grossly insufficient & there would be renewed agitation to increase minimum wage. |

mrvitalis: Anything Tinubu touches, spoils. Imagine a bureau like NBS quoting nonsénse stat. It's now obvious they have been manipulating the current inflation rate in the country because of Tinubu. |

Hmm... This feels like a mockery of the common man. Can a healthy satisfying meal be purchased for N1,041 in a reasonably good restaurant? Not the cholera infested mama put? And if the individual decides to cook at home, what about associated costs such as gas? Or the government expects people to go back to using firewood? |
