The attention of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Abuja/Northern Nigeria Chapter has been drawn to a statement credited to a faceless group "Project Niger Delta" led by one fictitious Princewill Timipre Ebebi with no known address, neither identity, faulting the Prof. Benjamin Okaba led Ijaw National Congress (INC) familiarisation visit to PAP boss, Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro.

Ordinarily we won't have reacted to a faceless individual claiming to be a Director of an unknown Organisation. But for the sake of our revered leaders who we hold in high esteem, it is expedient we voice our displeasures.

1. As a Chapter of the IYC, and the host of the Presidential Amnesty Programme's office, we frown at this faceless individual claiming to be the Director of an unknown group in the Niger Delta, to desist from attacking our revered leaders. Attacking a revered Ijaw leader that is generally accepted, is tantamount to attacking the entire Ijaw Nation, which Prof. Benjamin Okaba happens to be the President.

2. We are calling on this individual to stop referring to Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro PhD as "Self-acclaimed" Administrator. From all indications it is obvious this faceless individual knows nothing about administrative precedence, save for beer parlour gossip. Referring to a highly respected, learned and well accepted Administrator that has been given all the paraphernalia to man the affairs of the Presidential Amnesty Programme by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as self acclaimed, is indeed laughable. As an organisation, we've waited for months for those claiming that Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro is just at the PAP office without an appointment letter, to come forward to pull him out of the office or better still sue him for impersonation. After four months of his appointment, we are yet to see anybody come forward.

3. It is a known fact that Prof. Okaba was accompanied to the PAP office by the Secretary of the Ijaw National Congress, Chief Ebipamowei Wodu, Treasurer of the INC, Chief Philip Agu, Financial Secretary, Chief Kennedy Odiowei and a respected stakeholder of the region, Prof. Steve Azaiki, in which far reaching issues pertaining the Niger Delta were discussed
4. What is the fuss for someone to laud the achievements of a thorough bred Administrator for within four months of his appointment approved the deployment of Aviation Delegates for Type Rating Course in South Africa and as well opened portal for delegates that are willing to study in our various institutions to register for onward process towards their educational pursuit. Whose endorsement is bigger than that of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that the faceless group is worried about that of Prof. Benjamin Okaba's endorsement. The truth is that after Mr. President endorsement, the other validation comes from the delegates and this has since been observed from the leaders and members of the various camps, when he visited Warri for sensitisation recently.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu saw in Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro PhD a man who understands the plight of the Niger Delta people and as a product of the struggle he doesn't need the validation of a faceless individual claiming to be the Director of a seemingly faceless group.

5. As a Chapter of the IYC and as a critical youth movement whose chapter the Presidential Amnesty Programme's office is domiciled, permit us to boldly say that the PAP is now in a very strong, stable and safe hands under Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro. His appointment and the initiatives he has mapped out within this short period, is a testament to the fact that the Programme needed someone who understands the reason why the programme was established.

6. Finally, the IYC, Abuja/Northern Nigeria Chapter will always act as a bridge builder and a symbol of unity to the Ijaw people. We shall continue to defend and protect the dignity of our highly revered leaders. We believe the Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro PhD led PAP is ready to accept criticism. But it must be constructive and we are sure he is open to suggestions and solutions.

7. Those championing the fight against Chief Dr Dennis Brutu Otuaro should know that in every race, there is a finish line.
