One thing I know is .Dollar exchange to Naira was pegged because of Dangiote @400naira.even when its sold at black market for 750$ during Buharis tenure..even Elrufai allegedly sell dollar he borrowed from world Bank to Dangote @ 400 naira getting kick back of extra cash from Dangote.. Although Aliko tried ..but at what cost to Nigerians..now the old thieves are fighting the big thief in town...importer and Dangote..who wins..anyway Nigeria lose until national refinery work

I agree with you.

NNPCL/NMDPRA are the reason why Nigerians are suffering.

These corrupt & morally decadent Government officials collected Billions of Dollars for how many years? in the name of Turnaround Maintenance and none of the refineries have produced a single drop of petrol; yet nobody has held any of them accountable.

Now that the Dangote Refinery is about to bail us out; they accuse him producing inferior products.

This matter is very simple to resolve. Dangote has challenged the Lawmakers/FG to collect samples from random Fuel Stations and from his own Refinery and conduct lab tests to ascertain who is feeding Nigerians with inferior petrochemical products.

I have learnt a very great lesson from this dispute. No matter how wealthy I become, I will NEVER invest my money in Nigeria.

Nigerians are envious dream killers.

Some lunatics are already saying Dangote monopolized Cement. Is it only Dangote that is selling Cement in Nigeria?

If Dangote’s Cement is too expensive for you, then buy from LaFarge or BUA.

I am not surprised they are accusing Dangote of Monopoly since their own agenda is to facilitate the destruction of Nigeria - in the hopes of actualizing their utopian Country.

They want the dispute between Dangote and the NNPCL/NMDPRA to fester so that they can continue blaming Tinubu for their woes.

When the hero stumbles, the cowards rejoice. Nothing feels better to a coward than to watch a brave man fall.

I agree with you

For a single conglomerate that employs more than most state governments in Nigeria, he surely deserves some tax holidays. The tax holiday he was given was used to construct many roads across the country. This businessman also donates vehicles to the Nigeria Police.

If he is given tax holidays, I say yes he deserves it. If it is easy, invest your money into the country.

Nonsense and paid for write up. The Federal government should not fall for Dangote's antics. I'm glad he's finally met his match and is now resorting to using the gullible press. Where are Ibeto Cement, Burham Cement, and DICON Salt today? All gone, due to his monopolistic and sharp practices. He's now playing dirty, just as he has destroyed other businessmen in the past. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. The same public servants he always compromised to favour him are now the ones he has turned against. The events in the next few weeks will be interesting.

With the projected commencement of production of PMS in the Dangote Refinery, the PBAT Led -Government has suddenly realised that its powers to maintain Energy Security within its territory has been outsourced to Dangote.

The total daily production capacity of the Dangote refinery relegates the combined capacity of all the Refineries in Nigeria even at 100% functional capacity.

The powers that would be willed by Dangote if PMS production commence can only be matched by a Federation. Through the Dangote refinery he would have specialised accounts with huge forex inflow, determine price and also negotiate trade- swaps on an International scale.

I have received over 10 calls from Nigerians in Diaspora informing me that the issue between Dangote and NNPC, NMDRC &NNPC has assumed an international dimension based on Dangote's influence.

It will be the biggest political mistake for PBAT to allow Dangote sell PMS. PMS price would be determined by International oil price except Government decides to subsidies the crude sale to him which reveal the hidden subsidy differential the Government auguments.

All this long turenchi is not really our concern, when will the price of fuel drop as APC promised with this ‘subsidy is gone' refinery?? The money supposedly being saved from subsidy removal is only showing on the politicians while the people are looking poorer. In less than a decade under this party, Nigeria has moved from being an emerging economy with the 2nd fastest growth rate in the world, to a beggar economy. We’re really not interested in all these stories, just tell us when the price of fuel is coming down to N87 again. Abi like Irev like Dangote refinery, where what we heard is not what they said?? undecided

This is the cho cho cho diversionary market women’s gossip that ThiefNuibu has been using to cover up his corruption and incompetence since 1999.

Why should we be paying so much for fuel after deregulation and subsidy removal because NNPCL cabals are not letting go of their bloodsucking devilish corruption that JagaBandit supervises as the petroleum minister?

The pathetic part is how we allowed ourselves to be swindled by Ọgbẹni Ojuyọbọ and his Lagos lootocracy enablers like Fashola.

olillywales:
Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola has questioned the Federal Government’s reluctance to cut pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (Petrol) from N97 per litre following the fall in the global oil price.

The Governor said “We should be enjoying cheap fuel if the price of oil has dropped globally. And even as we import the product, a major component has reduced in price. While this has reduced, the pump price of fuel in the country still remains the same. Then something is wrong. If the price increases in the country when the price of oil goes up globally, then it should also reduce when the price of oil drops.

“I understand that I am not an economist; they (Federal Government) are the economist. But I have some logic and common sense to ask critical questions. For instance, if one buys flour at N10 per kilogram, and the bread was sold at N1 per loaf, if the price of flour drops, the price of the bread should also change.”

He also noted that the Nigerian economy is not doing well and many people have to survive through whatever means.

At least dangote is creating employment and putting food on the table of a lot of Nigerians.

For almost 10 years, we have watched every government say “when Dangote refinery comes on stream, Nigeria will stop spending scarce FX on importing petrol”. We have seen friends of Dangote, members of the APC, and agencies of the federal government campaign with Dangote Refinery.
