A low cost of living in some African nations indicates that maintaining a specific quality of life requires fewer expenses than in other regions, and this financial benefit also spurs development and prosperity.

Cost-of-living calculations can be used to compare the cost of maintaining a certain standard of living in different geographic areas based on the cost-of-living index.

Numbeo collected data from various countries in Africa and ranked the countries from the one with the highest to the lowest cost of living indexes.

Numbeo divided these indexes based on the highest cost of living in total, the rental costs, and the highest cost of groceries which were presented as indexes.

Diesel prices in Africa
