On your opay app there's where to report such issues. Go to the "ME"icon, afterwards click security Center. Fill in the required details. Make sure you input the correct account details plus the bank name, same with the wrong account you send the money to, finally state the purpose of the transaction.

Lastly, in order to fastrack the whole process you can serve a court order.

I don't even enter account number while making transactions to avoid stories that touch.
I copy and paste as received and confirm name before hitting the enter button.

I swear. What if the complainant is lying. They would now remove money from the recepitent account back to him. How do people even make mistakes of sending money to wrong accounts numbers, like you didn't confirm and check the account number you input and the account name, it should bring out, even if the account number were wrong, at least you should know by the account name, it brings out, how do people still make mistakes baffles me.

I once made such mistake, mine was tricky because the wrong account has same name and surname as the right one, the only different was a middle, which I didn't check cuz I was busy while making that transaction.
Over 600k, luckily it was an Uber driver I mistakenly sent to.

He refunded me and I appreciated him with something.

Boss mistakes like this happen sometimes. Just few days ago on the same OPAY, I tried to send money to one “John” who I have his details saved in my account. Because I was in a hurry, I transferred to another John, a random POS guy I did a transaction with earlier that day.

Contact OPay! Team to notify the recipient of the erroneous transaction so they could go ahead and recoup the funds for you.

Go to Opay Office and lay the complaint together with the number

After typing the account number, didn't a pop-up message show to you that you've not sent money to such account before and that you should check it before confirming the transaction?

Anyways, reach out to opay and also get a lien order from the court on such account. You might be lucky.

Next time be more attentive when making transactions!

Contact opay first,The opay account willbe place on lean and you willbe send indimity form to fill and summit, if the customer account hasn't make used of the funds, the money can be easily withraw from the account.

You don't know what you are saying, I pray that it happens to you someday so that you will know that nobody is above mistake. I made an erroneous transfer to another palmpay account and just a mistype of a single number till today after complaining to palmpay I didn't get back my money. Dey play

It's the sender that ought to reach out to opay and not you.

The person has to retain the services of a lawyer to help you get a court order for it's reversal.

Someone mistakenly sent me 26k ,I've been trying to return but it seems the person doesn't need it cause it's been 3 months now.
Well sha I'm not touching it , till the person comes forward with d right evidence.
