this is becoming a normal in the medical field nowadays...just last month,a very big hospital at ibadan gave a patient expired injections, expired drip,expired drugs and the woman went into coma and finally died.....yet the family paid millions for quality treatment

Those hospitals we perceive as "big" don't employ qualified professionals! Go to their Pharmacies, you'll not see licensed Pharmacists there, likewise you'll not see licensed medical lab scientists! Many of them don't even employ specialist doctors to handle serious medical conditions! They rely on quacks just so they don't pay much. You'll see the MD and his family living flamboyant lifestyles at the expense of unsuspecting patients. It's too bad!

I've continually stated it here that there's urgent need for a complete overhaul of the regulatory and leadership frameworks of our healthcare system if we desire to have a functional system.

Guy it may not be botched by the doctors o. Let me tell you a small story that happened before my very eyes.

I was once in a ward visiting a friend. While there, I noticed one nurse having a mood, and replying to a doctor anyhow. My first thought was this doctor is sleeping with this nurse.

Suddenly this nurse with a mood came with two bags of blood. There were two other patients in the same ward. Both are already getting better but blood transfusion was recommended for them.

One of the patients refused the transmission but her mother encouraged her to take it. The other one told the arrogant nurse to wait let her finish eating. This was after the nurse had started transfusion for the former. The nurse arrogantly walked away.

E no reach 30 minutes, the one collecting transfusion begin vibrate. Doctors rushed in and saw that she had in her mood, swapped the blood for each patient unknowingly. That one getting transfusion died right there. And her mother that encouraged her to take the transfusion fell and cried her eyes out. While the one that said wait her finish eating was thanking God. That one later refused taking transfusion entirely.

Omg! Experienced doctors in Nigeria are all in UK, US and some better and progressive countries globally. It's only housemanship doctors or rather student's doctors you will see in government hospital. So sad so sad...RIP
