If the demonstrations die down, he won't do anything.

If they gain momentum, he'll make a national broadcast.

The first national broadcast will be a promise to look into ways of alleviating the situation, to see if people will take the bait and go back to normalcy.

If the people don't take it, then he will invite leaders of pressure groups and try to do the normal thing that Nigerian politicians normally do πŸ’° πŸ’° πŸ’°

If the leaders take the πŸ’° πŸ’° πŸ’° and successfully calm the nerves of the protesters, then back to business, he just bought more time and he has learnt a new trick

If the leaders don't succeed, he will then reinstate partial subsidy.

It won't be an easy path but that's what it takes

Government doesn't reverse itself unless there is significant pressure on them to
