I thought they don't do subsidy in the developed world.
I Thought subsidy leads to short of funds of government which they suppose to be using to do more investments in a country.
advanceDNA:

The government cannot or even have the right to control price of manufacturers or wholesalers when the same government did not subsidize any part of their production or supply chain......the market naturally controls itself when cost of production or supply is on the minimum and stable....

There are countries where there is subsidy on flour, cotton, wheat, eggs, milk, ...all these things help government put a leash on manufacturers so that end users won't feel the heat...

But in Nigeria.... we want to eat our cake and still keep it ......we remove all existing subsidies, fuel, currency, electricity, etc.all the things that keep production & supply prices on the low.. yet we want to talk about price control.... It's fvnny

Will u force a manufacturer to sell rice for 30k per bag when production, staff, taxes and transportation cost is already 70k per bag

It's funny

Countries that have no resources have one or two things they subsidized for their people. But Nigeria that is blessed with crude oil and as number six exporter of oil in the world removed subsidy on petroleum and electricity which has caused serious inflation and suffering.

We have foolish leaders and educated illiterate leaders running the affairs of this sinking country with bad policies.

Nigeria CAN NEVER get better.

Eleribu oponu, the fact you support a candidate does not imply you cannot criticize or ask the candidate question or send him or her a wake up calls. that's exactly what Saidi Balogun is doing, come tomorrow Tinubu still remain his candidate and no regret abt it

Go back to our conversation in 2022 where we had various exchange of comments and see if all I said about Tinubu isn't playing out today in his performance in governance...

The truth is your comment doesn't just make sense especially now Tinubu has disappointed so many people, I'm not trying to insult you, I'm just being honest...

Please just try to look for our conversation to each other on the thread, you can start from here and read our conversation till the end...

Politics is not all about winning election...

It's propaganda the government of APC spread in order to rob the people and put more money in their own pockets......

All developed countries and developing nation
subsidize essential goods, food and services like health and education...they don't pay for any health service in the UK even if u want kidney or heart transplant....education is free to university level in Scotland for Scottish born and heavily subsidized in other part of Uk...

Subsidy is the only way the common wealth of a nation can truly be shared.....all this cheap student loans, palliatives, and smoke screen investment in CNG busses are one sided initiatives the government use to device pple..because it costs less than subsidizing goods or general services that will reach everybody making them have more to steal when they want to build their round about and 40km Road for 650billion dollars

He didn't want to join tbe protest because a yoruba man who is not related to him is in power. He forgets that at the end of the day, all man to himself. His future and that of his children Will be his burden and not Tinubu's problem.

He should endure in silence

Sincere question. Do sick and disabled people in Nigeria not get proper dignified care?
Why does it seem as if every Nigerian online is talking down on these jobs.

You voted for someone doesn’t mean you cannot criticize them when they are wrong.
It’s high time we stopped blaming the few people that voted for Tinubu.
The truth is majority of Nigerians didn’t vote for him and he still won. Ask yourself why?

I doubt if THEY have a clue what he's complaining about.
This government has started giving me the impression they're just bidding time to deploy another re-election strategy. For now they're just groping in the dark.
