You are far from serious Bro.

You supported and canvassed for your person; why are crying foul.
Tribalism doesn't fix problem, competency does.
I will vote against my tribe any time any day if I have my conviction that such doesn't represent good values.

In the meantime, enjoy your corn🌽

Things are indeed getting out of hand. See ordinarily corn, masara, agbado is N300 for one now. Jara, fisi of before now N200. Too bad. We need price regulatory system honestly

The government cannot or even have the right to control price of manufacturers or wholesalers when the same government did not subsidize any part of their production or supply chain......the market naturally controls itself when cost of production or supply is on the minimum and stable....

There are countries where there is subsidy on flour, cotton, wheat, eggs, milk, ...all these things help government put a leash on manufacturers so that end users won't feel the heat...

But in Nigeria.... we want to eat our cake and still keep it ......we remove all existing subsidies, fuel, currency, electricity, etc.all the things that keep production & supply prices on the low.. yet we want to talk about price control.... It's fvnny

Will u force a manufacturer to sell rice for 30k per bag when production, staff, taxes and transportation cost is already 70k per bag

It's funny
the guy is funny. I thought market forces has always been the norm in price regulation? You can't ask a producer or seller to sell below cost price without making a margin.

Tinubu deceived gullible Nigerians that removal of subsidy will make the government have more money to do more for the masses.....not knowing it was just a robbery move against the pple....

Now they have enough money, increasing their governors, law makers, etc budget who only steal the money meant for their masses .....as if the security votes of 300,million the governors get per month is already not enough....

Now they are buying bulletproof cars, new jets, and increasing salary of judges by 300percent .....

All the subsidy removal did is enrich the 3 arms of government and their puppets that they will ise to secure second term....

Doesn't matter the party of the state governor, tinubu's government favour them cos they have more money to steal and they will gladly want him to run for 20 more tenures...

I am just curious. Why e be say, when a mention of Nigerians abroad is made, first thing that comes to your mind are the low level paying jobs?
You don't think we can be successful abroad?

The current set of emigres start with those low level jobs while finding their bearings. We have read of A-list actors in the US as Uber drivers
They would rather die than be a taxi drivers in Nigeria. Others have done security job, and aven BBC (British Bottom Cleaners). I even heard some do "preke" in British toilets on Friday and Saturday club nights. Not saying Nigerians don't then move on to other jobs, but a large number start from these

Tribalism na enemy of progress. Those who engage in it will suffer....
Nigeria, was actually more prosperous, when it had tribalist, (serious) leaders. Ibadan, that was growing and developing, under the somewhat tribalist, regional government is today stagnant under nationalist leadership. Tribalism is not the enemy of progress; in Nigeria, unserious leadership is the enemy of progress. If an hausa leader emerges, speaking Hausa, but with real empathy for the hausa people; hating with passion the sight of almajiris; then she'll surely change the fortunes of her people.

Impressive. Thanks so much.

But assuming the government use the subsidy money to establish and maintain a good environment(infrastructure, industries etc), and the citizens witness and benefited from it, will this method also be okay?
advanceDNA:

It's propaganda the government of APC spread in order to rob the people and put more money in their own pockets......

All developed countries and developing nation
subsidize essential goods, food and services like health and education...they don't pay for any health service in the UK even if u want kidney or heart transplant....education is free to university level in Scotland for Scottish born and heavily subsidized in other part of Uk...

Subsidy is the only way the common wealth of a nation can truly be shared.....all this cheap student loans, palliatives, and smoke screen investment in CNG busses are one sided initiatives the government use to device pple..because it costs less than subsidizing goods or general services that will reach everybody making them have more to steal when they want to build their round about and 40km Road for 650billion dollars
