IamANigerianMan: Oooh, so in your feeble mind these Fulani kidnappings are because SARS was scrapped? Oya when SARS got scrapped, were the police officers who made up SARS fired? You have to think before you speak 1 Like |

EyeCumInPeace:You sound like you are speaking from a position of authority on the matter? Do you know what we don't know or are you just assuming? Like somebody said, if the useless police are not useless, they could've ping the location of that phone or at least ask the social media site to provide the location the last chat was sent from. |

MasterTeeUSA: ^^^ There are people who must travel to make a living. Traders, artisans, technicians etc. If they don't travel they will starve to death. Our leaders seem to have forgotten that the entire economy is built around the movement of people and goods - if this movement stops then the economy stops too. Some people have jobs and careers that compulsorily keep them on the road. Not everyone has an office job in a city metropolis! There are people who must travel to get an education - not all pupils or students are enrolled in the school down the street. These people exist and their safety matters too. There are also people who abide by the travel rules you listed. They do not travel at night. Unfortunately, this doesn't guarantee their safety since highway robberies and abductions in Nigeria do take place during the day as well as at night. You spoke about precautions? Most people do take precautions but as things stand now, only travellers with armed security stand a chance of defending themselves from predators on our roads...and how many ordinary Nigerians can afford the cost of armed security? If people stay put and refuse to travel (and believe me, a large number have done just that), they will be forced to beg for bread in no time. Who will feed them when that time comes? Nigeria is a dream killer. 1 Like |
