The doctors run abroad to USA, UK

The senators now take the money they should have used to pay the doctors, they use these funds to go abroad for treatment.
Instead of paying the Nigerian doctor $500, they would go and spend $50,000 for a single doctors visit in USA/UK.

The senators pretend they don't know why healthcare workers are leaving the country in droves.

And ironically, some of them end up dying like chicken!

This is not palatable...Sheer greed...Misplaced priorities.

Also the officers basic salary of a senator in Nigeria is about 200k, constitution project about 500k and when u add other allowances it push the total package to 1M+ officially

But our members of the National Assembly, with their running cost added, which is paid to them directly, and other allowances, they take home over 20 million naira in a month. Compared to surgeons, who in Nigeria take less than N20m in a year!

This are the kind of write up I detest. We are always comparing other nations when our wages and salaries are less but when it comes to service delivery and value we don't do same. Is it not this same Doctors who took oath to save lives but will not save the life of a gun shot victim because one police says there should be gunshot report before treatment, which is even against the constitution of thr FRN. When there are emergencies you'll not see Doctors and yet all we hear that they are being less. Have we not had Doctors as Ministers of Health and even in the National Assembly, what are their contributions!!!??
How can people to go hospital and it will be like an NNPC outlet where people queue for several hours before they are attended to by a Doctor!!!!
