The Agboola Ajayi Youths and Students Movement (AgboYSM) has expressed deep concern over the situations enveloping Sunshine Star FC under the leadership of the current APC government.

The group, in a statement signed by Ijanusi Olawale its coordinator, today, said it’s indeed concerning that the Sunshine Stars (Ondo Football Club) is retrogressing.

The group expressed worry over Ondo State fans inability to watch their matches in the home stadium coupled with the privatization narratives.

“Sunshine Stars FC has retrogressed massively. They are not what we used to see before APC government came on board. Ondo State lovers of sport are decrying their inability to physically support and enjoy matches in the Akure stadium”, He said.

“The privatization narratives within the context of our sunshine stars FC is concerning and unacceptable. Privatization at this point will take the access our people have to sport beyond reach”, Ijanusi said.

Additionally, the aforementioned coordinator also charge the APC led government under H.E Lucky Aiyedatiwa to address all these concerns.

He concluded, “ Governor Ayedatiwa must immediately address all this valid concerns to ensure the progression of our Sunshine Stars FC and Sport generally.”
