At least 123 undocumented foreign nationals were arrested during an early morning operation in Durban's Central Business District (CBD) on Tuesday. The operation also led to the recovery of counterfeit US dollars equivalent to 4.1 million Rands at the Point area.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) reported that the multidisciplinary operation involved the police, Metro Police, Correctional Services, Home Affairs, and other law enforcement agencies. The effort was part of a broader initiative to assert state authority and target hijacked buildings in and around the Durban CBD.

Six buildings were raided, one of which was found to be a municipality-owned property that had been illegally occupied. A person allegedly collecting rent from the illegal occupants was taken in for questioning.

It is good that the rent collector was captured.

The headline is pointing finger at only Nigerians when many countries are mentioned in the post. Why? Has it actually been confirmed that all the people arrested and displayed in this post are Nigerians? I hope this is not a case of stereotyping.

ADDED:
The caption has been changed. "Nigerians" has been replaced with "Foreigners" in the caption. Even the attached video starts by pointing at only Nigerians. Some other earlier comments sound like mine because the initial caption was pointing at only Nigerians. Nairaland needs "Edit History" feature just like Facebook. Changing the caption will make it look as if most of the people who commented earlier commented without reading the post. The crafty blogger changed the caption but can't change or edit the already attached video.

While are they labelling them as Nigerians from the headline and from the story, it says foreigner. Hope they are not just trying to give Nigerians a bad name.

Many South africans are dumb sha.
The apartheid masters are using black south african men to keep their black population under check and they are falling for it in the name of fighting "foreigners".
Who even fights foreigners? They dont even know the difference between illegal migrants and foreigners.
Mumu people.

South Africans always looking for other groups to push their frustrations on. And of course, their fellow Africans are the perfect scape goats. Stereotypes are now believed to be facts.
