Nigerian activist, Comrade Israel Joe, has reacted to the upcoming wedding of a ‘teenage’ couple.


The couple, Comfort and Hyacinth are set to get married in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State on August 30, 2024.

"Congratulations our pipo.

These ones wen dem never even reach 18 years I guess? Dem never know anything and divorce dey wait dem for road. I'm not wishing them bad but stating the obvious. You might not like my post but certainly I'm me and have my social opinions to things," Mr Joe wrote.

"When they have fully realise themselves, they will discover that they are not meant to be partners to themselves. One issue with early marriage is self realisation when things starts
working. Class will come into play and attraction would definitely not be there anymore.

"Marriage is beyond infatuation or love. Does is mean I don't wish them well? I do. Infact a very big congratulations to them but “word wen pikin nor hear for morning, e go understand am for evening.”

It's a forced wedding. Them don do am and it don turn pregnancy. That's why the boy is being forced to marry the girl. You can see the expression on their faces

Maturity is not by age...

I am more concerned about their financial stability!

By your logic, our logic + emotions; which equals intelligence, mind, thinking, creativity etc have a lesser role. Only our reproductive parts are more important to mother nature, and we should breed like dogs , rabbits or goats?
