First to comment. Happy New month nairalanders!! Been here since 2008. The nigeria we know is not the same Nigeria under GEJ in 2014. Things were a lot better then. Now the spate of insecurity and crimes is disturbing. The doctor should just leave Nigeria, how can someone stay with kidnappers for close to a year and yet the security of the country could not do anything. Kidnappers and criminals are having more enablement to do their crimes and the media is not talking alot on many terrible and bad things happening to the masses in this apc regime. The record of protection of lives and property under this government has been very poor and woeful to say the least and the economic performances is dissuading and a doctor who is trying his/her best to serve the country is being hurt and frustrated by the hooligans, criminals, terrorists that the government has failed to address coupled with the economic difficulties and abitrary inflation happening accross different sectors in Nigeria as at today. Even if a kidnapper demands 50 thousand dollars, if u could afford naira denomination in 2013/2015 when a dollar was around 200 naira. Now, it would be hard because of some ridiculous economic sabotage i.e the 23 trillion naira printing without approval by some people in government positions and power in apc . Now, a dollar is crazily going to about #1600 naira at the exchange rate market and all this evil happened just between 2015 -2024.that is not upto 10 years yet 17 Likes 3 Shares |

Nipping this menace in the bud is not as difficult as the impression being created. The activities of these criminals are sources of income to some influential individuals and opportunities for relevant security agencies to earn undeserved allocations under the guise of fighting insecurity. 8 Likes 1 Share |

They're kidnapping doctors because they think doctors have money. Doctors that will save for 5yrs before they can buy one sharp tokunbo car. And they'll leave the actual criminals, the politicians that they should be kidnapping instead. 43 Likes 4 Shares |

Political illiterates from the south of Nigeria are yet to understand that the ransome from kidnap goes to swell the bank accounts of those people who want Nigeria to become an Islamic Republic to be governed with Sharia criminal laws. It's a fund for future Talibanization of Nigeria. 1 Like |

Kidnapping is now a norm in Nigeria under this ineptitude government, and what amazes me is they turned a deaf ear to it. Imagine kidnappers flaunting money on social media and even insulting a whole sitting president and that one just carry pj Dey flex up and down 2 Likes |

The question is why is it that when govt is threatened that a kidnapped victim must be released, the kidnappers quickly release the victim, but if the victim has no one to fight for him, he wroughts in the kidnappers den or can be killed. Even the corpers are quickly released, is it that for kidnappers den sef there is connection. 3 Likes |
