No security for this country, chai,

The insecurity is meant for the advantages of the political and religious leaders of the 12 northern Nigeria states who adopted unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal justice syste. They share the same goal with Boko Haram. Bandits, armed Fulani herdsmen and kidnappers for ransome, are offshoots of Boko Haram fighting for a Nigeria 🇳🇬 to be governed with Sharia criminal laws.

First to comment. Happy New month nairalanders!! Been here since 2008.

The nigeria we know is not the same Nigeria under GEJ in 2014. Things were a lot better then. Now the spate of insecurity and crimes is disturbing. The doctor should just leave Nigeria, how can someone stay with kidnappers for close to a year and yet the security of the country could not do anything. Kidnappers and criminals are having more enablement to do their crimes and the media is not talking alot on many terrible and bad things happening to the masses in this apc regime. The record of protection of lives and property under this government has been very poor and woeful to say the least and the economic performances is dissuading and a doctor who is trying his/her best to serve the country is being hurt and frustrated by the hooligans, criminals, terrorists that the government has failed to address coupled with the economic difficulties and abitrary inflation happening accross different sectors in Nigeria as at today. Even if a kidnapper demands 50 thousand dollars, if u could afford naira denomination in 2013/2015 when a dollar was around 200 naira. Now, it would be hard because of some ridiculous economic sabotage i.e the 23 trillion naira printing without approval by some people in government positions and power in apc . Now, a dollar is crazily going to about #1600 naira at the exchange rate market and all this evil happened just between 2015 -2024.that is not upto 10 years yet
Stop messing up our minds with this your referencing of GEJ, whose weakness produced APC and Buhari.

We ain't going back to Egypt.

They're kidnapping doctors because they think doctors have money. Doctors that will save for 5yrs before they can buy one sharp tokunbo car. And they'll leave the actual criminals, the politicians that they should be kidnapping instead.

A part of me is thinking they are kidnapping doctors to provide care for their criminal colleagues who can't access the hospital.

May be wrong though.

The question is why is it that when govt is threatened that a kidnapped victim must be released, the kidnappers quickly release the victim, but if the victim has no one to fight for him, he wroughts in the kidnappers den or can be killed. Even the corpers are quickly released, is it that for kidnappers den sef there is connection.
The kidnappers didn't just release her, someone(family or government) have paid paid ransom.

Nipping this menace in the bud is not as difficult as the impression being created. The activities of these criminals are sources of income to some influential individuals and opportunities for relevant security agencies to earn undeserved allocations under the guise of fighting insecurity.
exactly.i just finished watching a video on how bandits took control of 2 APC military vehicles with lots of ammunition inside and many questions are begging for answers.
Thats one of the APC behind and to tell u the guys with guns are neither military men or civil defense office but they are bandits.
The north need to do better walahi

8 months and 11 months in kidnapper's den! angry

Just like that it has become a norm. It will never be well with the leaders of this country; them and their children.
Re: Dr Olufunke Fadahunsi Released By Kidnappers by RhinoChest: 11:22am On Sep 01
New DSS boss, if you’re thinking of how to end kidnapping in Nigeria, here are a few ideas.

1) Have portals and ways Nigerians can anonymously tip off security operatives with full confidentiality. If specific numbers can be called, make them such that Nigerians can divulge information without putting themselves at risk. Eg, allow unregistered sim access to call security operatives only, and can be thrown away after.

2) Offer rewards and bounties to people that provide crucial info anonymously. A code might be sent to their unregistered sim, whereby they can use it to access their rewards at ATMs.

3) Have ordinary Nigerians as informants and on your payroll. Lecturers, Chiefs, landlords, Hotel managers, Bank managers, pastors, Imams, etc never allow your agency’s sloppiness put their lives at risk.

4) Always have surveillance teams on ground across Nigeria.

5)Hire ex kidnappers who have served their time as informants. This has to be done with professional orientation and training.

6) Once various infos are coming in, set up trained operatives to carry out surveillance.

7) Have specialist task force that can conduct raids before these criminals strike!!

Some top people in government are obviously making money from this kidnapping thing.

And fools were here criticizing the doctors for going on strike. All of a sudden, she is released after so many months in captivity.
Goes to show that we are the ones enabling the govt's cavalier attitude towards a lot of issues because we are yet to recognize the power we have when the majority of us unite to demand that things change for better
