You are clueless if not, you would have realized that 5% Mortgage means you put down 5% of the total sum of the house as deposit. Even a 10 year Old could understand that,5% mortgage and 5% deposit mortgage are same thing. You brought in 100% mortgage which died 2008,no one lends you that anymore, its even inside what you post but still, you still find it hard to comprehend and we wonder were we are in Nigeria, anyways go stick to the religion section, I recon you thrive more in there.

100% mortgage is a term used for mortgages where you pay 0 deposit. That is what has been known since time immemorial, I bet it was known as that when you got your own mortgage.

You claim my previous link was from 2008 and the name has changed and that no one lends you that anymore, here's a link about a policy announced May of last year where they are still talking about 100% mortgages:

https://better.co.uk/mortgages/100-mortgages

I guess they didn't get the memo issued by you, Mr "I live in UK", to desist from using such naming conventions. It's all on the Internet, you in the UK don't see different information from me in Naija.

Use the right words, 5% deposit mortgage is not 5% mortgage, it is 95% mortgage.

On that note, I leave it to you to have the last word, in truth I have wasted a bit too much time on it.

you see people like you are the reason we are were we are today in Nigeria cos simple corrections you cant take. I feel like I'm interacting with a 10 year old here.I swear down. At the bolded , what's the difference between 5% mortgage, and 5% deposit mortgage since I have made u read it up and you are now fixated on. The 100% mortgage died 2008 with the financial crisis, The name barely just exist now for information purpose, there is No Bank advertising 100% Mortgage in the Uk,you will have to deposit something and the smallest is the 5% you are masturbating on right now or a gaurantor with a landed property or family

Are you not the one that told me you pay for Medicaid, and your kids will get benefits?

Same you posted a Chevrolet which is for low earners

I am sure you still receive food stamps.

Yes,
I have gotten my figures right now grin grin

5kg garri(which is equivalent to half paint in Nigeria) is sold £7.99 in the uk which is equivalent to £8

And you say £1 is N2150

Calculate it
£2150 × 8 = N17,200

Meaning, a seller in the uk will accept N17,200 from you for half paint of garri that we buy N1500 here in Nigeria.

This is what a Nigerian toilet cleaner in uk is going through just to get garri that she is more adapted to, than any other food.

Make the op go rest o grin

Don't mind these people o. My company changed our health insurance provider, and I was for 2 months waiting to get registered with my new Personal Care Provider. During those two months one of my prescriptions ran out and I wasn't sure where to go since I didn't yet have a PCP. Urgent Care Center offered to write me a prescription for nearly $120. My old PCP eventually did for me cheaper for $95 and I felt grateful.
The same medicine would have cost me less than N1000 in Nigeria from any medicine store and without need for prescription. Compare this to nearly $150,000.

Before anyone can start saying nonsense here I must warn you that $120 is nearly 2 days salary for your toilet cleaner after tax deduction and assuming he even can get to do regular work because those jobs are usually temporary. Look, there are even people who have regular job but are homeless because they either can't afford to rent a room from what they have left after tax or nobody will rent to them because they are a credit risk, So they sleep wherever they can find and carry all their belonging around with them 24/7 . For your information these low demeaning jobs may eve be the hardest to find and keep because you will be working under a manager that will constantly disrespect you and treat you like a dog and when he becomes angry enough, he will instantly fire you. Yes the employment laws of America permit your boss to fire you whenever he likes and even without any reason,

2 pounds weight (about 1kg) or less than half of a slender yam tuber costs $4 at the Farmers market. So the entire slender tuber could cost around $10.Consider paying N15000 for one yam and you go ask yourself wetin you dey find for America as a toilet washer, assuming you even have a place of your own where you can cook anything.

Anyone who wants to go abroad to wash toilets is free to do so, it is at least a chance to learn new life lessons the hard way ..even assuming US Embassy will give you work permit to go wash toilets ...which is by itself impossible. So, stop dreaming.

Instead of the op to encourage Nigerians who find themselves being unskilled in labour, to go and learn any prevocation that will not cost them much to learn, like carpentry, welding, tailoring and even sales, he is encouraging them to travel abroad to wash toilet.

When we say a toilet cleaner in USA, Canada, UK, Australia is better than the manger of zenith bank, what we mean is that the toilet cleaner will never suffer what you are currently suffering in Nigeria.

Example include:

A. A toilet cleaner will never queue for fuel.
B. A toilet cleaner is less likely to be kidnapped in those countries
C. A toilet cleaner has 24/7 electricity.
D. A toilet cleaner has access to excellent Medicare.
E. A toilet cleaner is less likely exposed to armed robbers
F. A toilet cleaner eats better food and fruits than your bank manager.
G A toilet cleaner has access to good amenities
H. A toilet cleaner may have his children schooling for free in primary and high school
I. A toilet cleaner has a longer live expectancy than your bank manager in Nigeria.

A toilet cleaner in White House, Queens Palace or where?

This your post smells like something written by an illiterate.
How can you compare a toilet cleaner to a bank manager no matter the location.

Do you realize that, the bank manager can afford to send all his children to that country to school and live and also afford to buy property there?

Do you know he can afford visiting that country on holidays.
Do you know the job satisfaction he gets by attaining that position which your toilet cleaner cannot afford?

I don't want to go into details to fault this you mentality.
It is very absurd that you can come up with this quack and low mentality inferiority complex post.

Saying a toilet cleaner abroad is better than a bank manager in Nigeria is completely out of place. It shouldn't even be on the front page.
Most bank managers cannot afford 50-100m home with their legit pay.. If they donr engage in wayo and illegal activities, their pay wont do shishi.. Block round tripping, fx mago mago, using people’s funds for illegal lending, selling of Naira notes… Most bank managers cant save 2-3m/yr

paragraph 3 is a very big lie
take it from an ex banker who fled Nigeria

unless you are doing very dirty deals and corrupt practices
An AM, or even DM sef cannot, in todays Nigeria send three kids abroad to school
Private Uni is the bus stop at best

where he wan see am

maybe Group Heads, and EDs and GEs,
but for most bankers
DM or slightly above is the bus stop for us
in fact SBO sef is where I'll wager 50% of bankers career taper of before they exit one way or the other

just wanted to clarify that

I will agree with the job satisfaction and sense of self worth part
that one is not quantified by money

but if an AM has his children schooling abroad
that AM is a thief
except his or her spouse earns much more
or those children are on scholarship

or the abroad is Germany with zero tutitob fee

P.S. Please don't mention the naira to the pounds or dollar as those currencies aren't spent in Nigeria. Bank managers earn in naira and spend in naira.

It's the same money. Dollars or euros earned abroad is indeed spent in Nigeria. It happens every goddamned day. It's the key to understanding migration, if it's not the same money there would be no need to migrate. I don't get why some of you continue to deny something so obvious.

When an immigrant saves $400 and sends it to Nigeria, it ends up as naira in Nigeria and is spent on the same sundry goods and services as any other naira from any other source. Literally, as in that is WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS, it's converted to naira and spent. Sometimes it's even spent as dollars, which is what prompted the Federal Government to start enforcing laws against transacting in dollars in Nigeria.

Just now I sat and counted 5 men that I know live and work in the USA and have wives & children living permanently in Nigeria. I've repeatedly mentioned my pharmacist friend who works half the year in USA and spends the other half in Nigeria. His family is in Nigeria.

All these people are earning dollars and SPENDING naira in Nigeria. More importantly, that money is SURPLUS left over after paying USA living expenses.

What percentage of adults earn $400 per month in Nigeria, the Poverty Capital of the World? Make una park well jare.

Good Luck to Nigeria.

Don't mind them.

Last week I changed 500 AUD to Naira and received 550, 000 naira which I sent to my old mother for upkeeps.

The 500Aud was earned in 2 days of 20 hours work.

Travel abroad legally, any legitimate job your hands find to do, including cleaning toilets, you will be better than more than 120 million Nigerians.

Forget about the stories illegal immigrants tell you. Just move legally and be strong enough to work.
