MKO Abiola's Children Accuse Kola And Wuraola Of Diverting Their Inheritance by Dapagun: 9:07am On Sep 12
A Caveat, Disclaimer And Disassociation From The Unauthorized Action Of Self Appointed Directors Of Summit Oil Company Limited

We, the undersigned four heirs and children of the Late Alhaji Chief M.K.O. Abiola and Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, otherwise known as KD 7, for and on behalf of all the disinherited heirs and children of our Father, the Late Alhaji Chief M.K.O. Abiola, (Chief MKO) do hereby publicly disclaim all actions taken by the self-appointed Directors of Summit Oil Company Limited (the “Company”) in relation to its business transactions with Duport Midstream Company Limited (Duport) and/or any other business entity.

We wish to clarify for the benefit of the Members of the Public that the Company is a legacy company inherited by all the children and heirs of Chief MKO Abiola, that had all, prior to now, been deceived by their Siblings, particularly Kola Abiola and Zulikat Wuraola Abiola, who not only self-appointed themselves as Directors of Summit Oil Company Ltd., but furthermore entered into multimillion US Dollar transactions with Duport and other business entities without the knowledge of and the necessary consent of other heirs and beneficiaries of Chief MKO’s Estate.

Presently, we the heirs of the Company being unaware of the said business relationships with Duport, and other entities have been divested by the said self-appointed Directors of Summit. We are particularly alarmed, at the content of the Petition from Summit Oil, dated June 2, 2023, addressed to the Inspector General of Police, of the Nigerian Police Force, and signed by our sister, Zulikat Wuraola Abiola, titled,
‘Complaint of Economic Sabotage and Diversion of Funds Against Duport Midstream Company Limited’.

In that petition, Wuraola admitted that Summit Oil under her watch, sold over 566,000 (Five Hundred and Sixty-Six Thousand), barrels of crude oil (condensates) to Duport with a value of over $50 million (Fifty Million US Dollars), for which Summit was fully paid in cash, less the disputed sum of $5,636,397.01 (Five Million, Six Hundred and
Thirty Six Thousand, Three Hundred and Ninety Seven US Dollars, One Cent).

Not only were we never told about these transactions, but our siblings, Kola and Wuraola have consistently lied to us, the children of Chief MKO and the Executors of Chief MKO’s Estate, that Summit Oil was not operational.

It is instructive that Wuraola similarly made a statement to the Police on June 6, 2023, where she adopted the above petition and both documents, along with other sensitive documents and Agreements, were filed as Exhibits in Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CR/570/2023 between the Inspector General of Police and (1). Dr. Akintoye Akindele and (2). Duport Midstream Company Limited.

Some of the said court filed documents further revealed that the Company had a
commercially rewarding relationship with Suntera, a Company that was invested in by the Government of India. In addition, it is pertinent to mention that we are deeply shocked by the diversion of the Company’s assets by Kola and Wuraola Abiola
Since all these actions taken by these self-appointed Directors of Summit, including the Petition written to the Police, were without our knowledge or consent and were unauthorized, we hereby declare that they do not represent the interests of all the heirs of Alhaji Chief MKO Abiola and we hereby disown the Petition.

Consequently, we call on the Inspector General of Police to disregard the Petition and withdraw all consequential actions so far taken against Dr. Akintoye Akindele and Duport Midstream Company Ltd on the basis of the Petition.

We have perceived these actions to be mere bully tactics deployed by Kola and Wuraola, to wrongly instigate the Institutions of the State to harass and thus prevent Dr. Akintoye Akindele from paying the said disputed and outstanding sum of money to the Estate of our Late Father, Chief MKO, so as to benefit all his heirs.

Furthermore, we hereby notify members of the Public, that we reserve all our rights to protect our interests in this and all other related matters and we hereby, most genuinely, call on the Inspector General of Police to take appropriate legal action to hold our siblings, Kola and Wuraola, to account for all the diverted earnings from Summit Oil and any other legacy business entity of our late Father.

Signed for and on behalf of
THEMSELVES AND ALL THE CHILDREN OF THEIR MOTHER THE LATE ALHAJA KUDIRAT ABIOLA AS WELL AS ALL OTHER CHILDREN AND HEIRS OF CHIEF M.K.O. ABIOLA’S ESTATE THAT
HAVE BEEN DEPRIVED OF THE FULL BENEFIT OF THE ESTATE OF THEIR LATE FATHER.

First wife's children always have the upper hand in a polygamous family after the demise of the father. Children from other wives will lament until they are tired.
You see polygamous men, they actually know they hurt their first wife and they always make up for that in their will, they always will almost everything to the children of their first wife. Chief Dokpesi, late Ado Bayero and lots of others I know did the same thing. Other wives should learn to secure their future while their husband is still alive, period.

Marrying only one wife self never easy not to talk of having numerous wives. This is the after effects when death comes. War and war even to the extent of using diabolical means sef. A polygamous home is always a home full of wars.

These are not the children of Late Alhaja Simbiat Abiola (nee Soaga), the first wife of Late Chief MKO Abiola, GCFR, believed to have been the one who literally made Late Chief MKO Abiola as his first wife before Chief became very wealthy and married other wives.

I suspect that this particular investment may have been owned by Chief MKO and his first wife Simbiat Abiola so the children of the pair may be fencing out the children of their father from other wives including the children of the Late Alhaja Kudirat Abiola.

Polygamous family rift and siblings rivalry. Check my signature for free stuffs!

Sounds to me like the legendary MKO gave birth to a bunch of lazy, entitled children, whose only "achievement" in life was being born by their father.

Late Chief FRA Williams was not polygamous yet his children's fight over his assets was even more vicious. It's not only in polygamous settings. Siblings rivalry is in every family and this was just being labeled as if the root cause is polygamy.

Chief would be so displeased how his family has been torn apart because of his inheritance and the fact that his business empire has crumbled.

Nothing to do with polygamy. it is a reflection of the family and the family is a reflection of the man. If your wealth was acquired via questionable means, it is not a surprise that your family exhibit certain questionable tendencies whether polygamous or monogamous. It is the values and example set by you that will flow down to your offspring. Like someone said, even children of monogamous families squabble over inheritance.

Inheritance is good. But inheritance must not be static.

If my father was superwealthy, I'd rather inherit his financial genes and make my own money than inherit his money which would he squandered if I do not have his money making genes.

May I also plead with the family to stop airing their issues in the public domain? It is getting too much and demystifies the man who launched the family to African fame.

I guess Mko didn't have a will.

He wrote a will but kind of will everything to his first wife children. Without DNA confirmation

But will some fixed amount to other children upon DNA confirmation.

But Kola and children of the first wife cornered even the little change dem supposed give other children.

Kola said his father lost all businesses while in prison and didn't have the money he willed to other children. The matter still dey court

Education is the only true entitlement I believe one should receive from a parent. As for spouses, I have nothing to say because I lack an understanding of polygamous culture, hence my lack of opinion.

Note
1. family business is nobodies' business.
2. for any decision take for the best interest of the business is subjected to a 1001 interpretation
3. trust by sibling is a hard commodity in a family business

my advice to Mr. Kola Abiola

1.Mr. kole abiola should call a family meeting and hand-off all his father business
2. Let the family appoint anyone/ trustee/ people to run the family business
3. all late chief's children are old enough to make their own decisions
4. The problems from his sibling will extend to his own children, if care is not taken.
5. He should build on his father's good will and connection to build his own business

I also. Do know about some lands at Ojere G.R.A. Behinde Oloke, I went to inquire about those lands few years ago.
His name has already been tipped off in the documents of the lands.

The lands has been acquired by some unscrupulous agents. After doing some charting at the land and urban authority at oke ilewo. I found out the lands belongs to Abiola.

The man! It is well sha ..
