The Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited has released another version of the breakdown of the estimated price of petrol bought from the Dangote refinery.

PUNCH Online earlier reported that in a statement on Monday morning, the NNPC gave a chart breakdown of the refined petrol product it bought from the refinery on Sunday, September 15.

The nation’s oil firm stated that it is paying the Dangote refinery in United States dollars for the September 2024 petrol offtake, adding that Naira transactions will only commence on October 1st, 2024.

The statement reads, “The NNPC Ltd. has released estimated prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as Petrol (obtained from the Dangote Refinery) in its retail stations across the country.

“The estimated prices are based on negotiated terms between NNPC Ltd. and Dangote Refinery which recognise the current international gasoline prices and the prevailing foreign exchange rate in line with the provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021.

“The NNPC Ltd. can confirm that it is paying Dangote Refinery in USD for September 2024 PMS offtake, as Naira transactions will only commence on October 1st, 2024.

“We reassure Nigerians that any discount from the Dangote Refinery will be passed on 100% to the general public.”

While the data of the estimated price to be sold around the country remains the same, the analysis of the transaction it had with Dangote Refinery was altered.

While the first press statement on Monday had a Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority fee of ₦8.99, the second statement showed ₦4.495.

The first statement had an inspection fee of ₦0.97, a margin fee of ₦26.48 and a distribution fee of ₦15.

In the second statement on Monday, there were no inspection and margin fees, while the distribution fee was changed to ₦42.45.

The second statement also had an additional Midstream and Gas Infrastructure Fund fee of ₦4.495.

By making the above statement and similar statement, the corrupt NNPC is making it sound as if the reason fuel sell for what it is sold for is Dangote. That's divisiveness. If Dangote prices it too high, buy from Malta or Singapore and let Dangote export his.

na one baba quickly made call to NNPC boss that him own share was initially omitted so they needed to recalculate to accommodate him. Forget those tiny money, na someone share per liter be that. Same they initially did to call cards during OBJ GSM era, where someone will add *1 at the back of *555 to make it like *555*1*...numbers#, as if it wont load if you use *555*.numbers#... and same thing OBJ did again by slotting majority of his private firm workers to FG payroll until bubu came and removed them. As at today, the price of Bonny Light is $78.62. See - https://oilprice.com/oil-price-charts/

$1 = NGN1620, means 1 barrel of Crude Oil in Naira is NGN127,413.18 @ $78.62

There are 159 litres in a barrel of crude oil. To get the amount of 1 litre is 127,413.18/159 = NGN801.

The price of 1 litre of fuel according to world prices after all conversions is NGN801.

Since these prices are now open to fluctuations in the global market, it can either go up or down.

Since NNPCL has quoted a price above this, then it is understood that there's no more subsidy.

How both NNPCL and DRL arrived at NGN950 I don't know.

The question is 'who are these evil petroleum cabals'?
We know they are powerful enemies of the country that rather prefer the country to burn down rather than the prices of petrol to go low.
We are not even sure if the president can beat these people or get them arrested or something.

The only all of us at MANNA going to advice the President to do is to give us adequate power all over the country, both rural villages, towns and cities, more like 24 hours power supply.
If that is done, and nobody really needs fuel for anything apart from some little emergencies, then thr prices for fuel ⛽️ will go down even of the cabals are not happy with it.

This country will work in our lifetime.
