deji17: can you teach what you dont know? lets try again. 1. for a country that was able to build 4 refineries on its own. how is a new private refinery now "like pikin wey dey learn to walk for the first time"? 2.what is special about having a private refinery that makes you say " This has never happened to us before in Nigeria where we will have a big private local refinery that will meet our energy needs", when the country built 4 refineries to meet its energy needs? 3. dont you have any access to the history of nigeria? |

deji17: Why getting emotional? Is a person a fool for asking questions in order to get clarity or is a person a fool because he thinks he knows but does not know? 1. for a country that was able to build 4 refineries on its own. how is a new private refinery now "like pikin wey dey learn to walk for the first time"? 2.what is special about having a private refinery that makes you say " This has never happened to us before in Nigeria where we will have a big private local refinery that will meet our energy needs", when the country built 4 refineries to meet its energy needs? 3. dont you have any access to the history of nigeria? |

If you dont know dangote does not own that refinery the cabals do and are only using him as a front thats why they are the ones determining the prices not him as they funded that project and they need him to make them profit. Its reason why he asked the Cabal NNPC to buy the refinery from him if they wont let him run it. This is what happened your greedy political class realized they could forever make money out of Nigerians by not granting them a state owned refinery by using public funds to build a private refinery that favours them and not the Nigerian people. However they need a front man this is where dangote comes in. Nigerians have been played once more by their opressors the refinery was not meant to serve your intrests but rather to be used as a tool to operess you. |

First they said, Dangote refinery produces sub standard fuel, and that they will continue to rely on importation. Why can't the nnpcl keep to that and leave us to buy the sub standard fuel from Dangote refinery? Today there are the only one to buy that sub standard fuel and sell it as they like to retailers. This is not fair "oh Nigeria" Dangote fuel was seen as the hope of a common man to bring a relief to everyone who still struggling with the hard time. Now it has finally come. My question is, are we happy at it s entrance? Just like in may, 29 in 2023 when so much positve changes were hope for, what did we get? Only God will save Nigeria |

Re: NNPC Releases Another Estimated Petrol Price Breakdown by chidiokay: 6:18am On Sep 17, 2024 |
CodeTemplarr: You are getting it all twisted, Dangote knew his price will generate backlash should he announce it himself, hence the sheningans with Nnpc, Nnpc is already in the black book of Nigerians let them continue to take the heat Most of us have forgotten $1/ 1600 the multiplier effect is why dangote fuel cant be cheap its not the man fault, running the calculation with $1/ 500 and you will realize exchange rate is the main obstruct to low price fuel Malta or other imported fuel is not cheaper to dangote, naa grace of subsidy and should govt pass on same subsidy arrangement to dangote fuel it will be lot more cheaper compared to imported 1 Like |

chidiokay:Cost of production determine prices. Many years ago, fuel price was peanuts compared to now, but how many Nigerians can afford to own a car talk of a fuel then? |
Re: NNPC Releases Another Estimated Petrol Price Breakdown by chidiokay: 5:54pm On Sep 17, 2024 |
deji17: And who are those responsible for economic stance that influence cost of production under 1year, we are dealing with 400% hyper inflation whose fault, or whose policies when cbn was spiked interest rate up, govt withdrew from subsidizing electricity, govt intensified taxation, to crown it all subsidy is gone ... what did they expect will happen to cost of production Mind you these is not a matter of many years ago .. if Tinubu had maintained the exchange rate @least what he met ... fuel can't cross #500 per litre Nigerians can not afford cars becos APC happened, even car dealers are going thru hell to sustain their business ... do you have an idea of import duties on car or how much it takes to now clear a container in cotonuo that Nigerians use, do you know Cepha as beaten Naira People affordability were eroded by these useless Govt ill thought policies that amount to no good asides propaganda statistic prime cost decides "pricing" But governance influences whether it will be bearable or not. |
Re: NNPC Releases Another Estimated Petrol Price Breakdown by deji17: 6:36pm On Sep 17, 2024 |
chidiokay:This is laughable. Nigerians need to quit thinking and analysing issue like yours. Subsidy is not sustainable. You can't use the hard currency you earned to subsidize dollars at a lower rate. You can't keep subsidizing everything including energy , education etc. You want to live in a welfare state where everything is subsidized for you. Obviously, you are not ready to face reality. |
Re: NNPC Releases Another Estimated Petrol Price Breakdown by chidiokay: 8:10pm On Sep 17, 2024 |
deji17: what could be more laughable than the cluelessness we've witness from a 1st class under 1yr. infact the joke is on you, subaidy is not sustainable rite, can you explain why a fuel @ landing cost of 1200 according to Nnpc sells for 850 at the pump .. You can't ?? what was yemi cardoso pumping into forex then, maybe intervention as they like to call it is different from subsidy Uk, Us, Germany are subsidizing education, housing, health, food how as that jeopardise there growth. if its works for developed nations why must subsidy be branded as evil of the day by Tinubu apologist Since Tinubu removed subsidy, in what area as it paid off, i doubt you recognise reality |
Re: NNPC Releases Another Estimated Petrol Price Breakdown by sunnyprof: 9:28am On Sep 18, 2024 |
NNPC is just trying to justify why they must still import to compete with Dangote as it already lost the refining business. Because even if Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna refineries are fully revamped, they cannot produce half of what Dangote will produce. Moreover 600,000 barrel production from Dangote can meet up the need of Nigeria and West Africa daily. so NNPC is afraid Dangote is the new NNPC and also have capacity to import crude and export its products too e.g, diesel..... NNPC is trying to fix price to just add up to the price of imported fuel another question is why use black market exchange rate of N1,680? What happened to the earlier stable bank rate N1,350? Wayo go kill this country |
