If you got 26 M naira tomorrow, do you stay or japa ? I have a friend who inherited 26 M with a wife and son. He has decided to stay. I can't see that money lasting more than 2 years with today's economy in naija.

Fellow nairalander, what would you do ? Stay and invest, or leave ?

put 20m on treasury bills at 15percnt and feed the family on the upfront interest for one year. use that 6m to start a business for one year. your head go don clear after one year weda you wan move or not. please if you dont have a definite plan on what you want to do abroad, don't make that move.. its capital intensive especially for a family of three.

Risky with the way the economy is, your 20m after 1 year fit don turn 10m in reality due to inflation and constantly declining strength of naira against other currencies

If you get 26 million and you work am..it's not about the money it's about the knowledge gained. Give a stupid person money and he will tank it in no time. Give a knowledgeable person little and he will increase in no time. Many of you hardly talk knowledge. All you talk is moneys.

Buy 2 clean Sienna and maybe 1 corolla. The 2 Sienna, put am for road as commercial from Lagos to Benin, the corolla, turn am to Uber and dey carry am go office too. I cannot come and kill myself o. No where is safe in the world.

Na waoo, anyway everyone can't be a business person, you have 26m and you wanna japa to abroad, there is something most people don't understand abroad this japa stuff, becoming wealthy in abroad is difficult also but basic amenities and quality of life is assured, but in Nigeria you can become very very rich if you know how plan well with that kind of amount
There are folks in Australia, USA sending the equivalent of that amount to Nigeria in a year with the current exchange rate. While enjoying the amenities there.... It's a win -win

U want to tie down money somewhere because of 15% per annual interest? With the current rate naira is losing its value everyday? The idea makes no sense in today's Nigeria

26 million naira is money an average worker makes a year in Europe and other western world. You still have security, good health system and good infrastructure including travelling travelling to any good country at ease with your papers for exploring business and useful ideas. Above all giving your kids good education for free or low cost.

Go ilorin, buy land 300k or 400k, use 6 million build a house , buy another land close to it for d same amount, start fish farming..... Dey cash out over 2 million every 6 months..... Wetin I wan go find abroad? Everybody get different plans Sha

How much is 26M NGN in USD to be honest?
With the exchange rate of today at approximately
1USD=1700NGN

26, 000 000 ÷ 1700 = 15,294 USD


Some highly skilled people earn well above that figure in one month & one job in some countries.

I think it's better to strive for comfort than to strive for wealth in a place like Nigeria where the elite can steal one's business ideas and still shut one down out of business

Forget abroad no be Nigeria
To eat for abroad no hard as Nigeria
And if you want to make it in abroad easy don’t get addicted to drug or drink or gamble there is 99% of making it on time
But if you are a addict of any of this and you travel na waything go they chop your money be that

Forget oh my relative reach uk first 3month he was a dish washer he get free paid and still get paid every Friday till he got another job
What am just trying to say is that to see food eat no hard for Yankee
But Nigeria is so hard to even visit person this economy way go entertain you with food or soft drink na connection 😂
