The Wright Brothers that invented Aeroplane didn't get it right the first or second time; they tried several times before they got it right.

So kudos to whoever that assembled this. At least he has showed passion, desire and commitment to invent something. Even though it didn't fly, with consistency, persistence, improvements and collaboration with like minds, he will definitely succeed someday if he doesn't give up.

Nigeria desperately need her own locally made indigenous technology products like this, this is one of the reasons I want Nigeria to disintegrate so that my own part Biafra will work tirelessly towards establishing and developing our own indigenous technology products, from guns to bullets to missiles to cars to aeroplanes to powerplants to air defense systems, etc.

This is not 1900. You don't create something like this in 2024 and claim it is progress. Even used a bent ceiling fan as the tail rotor!

They can take one of the helicopters bought and reverse engineer to get something credible. This one mus be a joke.

Inferiority complex and ignorance is your problem.

Nigeria built jets in the 1980s.

Go and learn about the Air Beetle.

Small boy.
Naigeeria may have built jets in the 1980s but as the guy asserted electricity is what Naigeeria needs at the moment. There are better airplane builders about in 2024, Naigeeria cannot compete with.

Naigeeria should resolve the hunger and electricity problems first.

What kinda silly joke is this? undecided

Some mad people will start urging Naigeerian government to invest in this waste of scrap metal. Well.. it wouldn't surprise me if they did invest, this is the kinda junk Naigeeerian govt. Would invest billions in grin grin they are all corrupt mental cases in Naigeeria.

Don't mind him, this is how they aplaud mediocrity.

A joke is a far better word to use to describe this waste of scrap metals.

I pity the people standing close to that blade. One guy from one of these African countries tried this sometimes ago. The blade spun off and took his head clean from his body.

A group of Nigerian local engineers has recently captured attention by showcasing a helicopter they built using discarded materials such as ceiling fans, rods, and other scrap items. The impressive display featured the ceiling fan rotating on the helicopter’s tail and a custom-made fan on top, which intrigued onlookers. shocked

However, despite the anticipation, the helicopter did not take off, leaving many viewers slightly disappointed. Some had hoped to see at least a small lift-off, but the aircraft remained grounded. Nonetheless, there was an outpouring of praise for the engineers’ creativity and effort.

One viewer expressed admiration, saying, "This is great, I initially thought it would lift up a little, but it didn't. If we had visionary leaders, talented persons like this would be invested in. Unfortunately, we don’t; then when foreigners utilize their talents, all the government does is write congratulatory speeches or complain about Nigerians leaving the country."

While some celebrated the ingenuity, others were critical of the project. "They should stop all these. This is the 21st century. If you cannot do it the way the whites are doing it, forget it and stop wasting your precious and productive time," one viewer remarked. shocked

Local engineers still dey try build helicopter instead of being innovative. Common sense would have taught them to build something like a drone or submarine wey we go use play. Not trying to build something that has been perfected long ago and still ended up making a caricature of themselves....This is unimpressive.

Why waste ur precious time building useless things like these when u can use it for more productive ventures?
Re: "Helicopter" Made By Nigerians That Got People Talking (Photos) by sweetrace(f): 10:52am On Oct 09
Why are they being mocked? Thomas Edison who invented the light bulb had no formal education. Because of him, today we can say “Up NEPA!”

The Wright brothers who built the first successful powered airplane attended only high school. They failed with their invention many times before succeeding.

Steve Jobs was not an engineer or college graduate when he built the Apple computer. He dropped out of school, built Apple, then went back to school.

All great inventors fail again and again. Some were laughed at. But they kept going until they achieved their dream.

Whoever built this plane should be encouraged. At least he is building something. Though he is not inventing something, his mind is being broadened. From this, he may end up inventing something useful like others before him.

This should be mass produced and one given to each minister and all our Legislators. They deserve one each too. but they should all be air borne at the same time and when all of them crashes, we will know that we have partially dealt with half of Nigerian problems.
