Nigeria had the highest capital importation in Q2 from the United Kingdom with $1.12 billion, showing 43.01 percent of the total capital imported.

Netherlands and South Africa also contributed to the inflows.

Did I read correctly? FDI 29billion dollars or so ? Ahhhh if this is true why we not seeing it in real terms

An estimated 2.9 billion dollars—that is not even up to what South Africa earns from tourism in one month. We need to stimulate local production, without tackling insecurity and lack of electric power nothing positive will happen in that economy! Where is his czar on electric power? he needs to adopt a carrot-and-stick approach to ending all the security issues in Naija...........the easiest one to tackle is the Biafra agitation in the southeast and Bakassi............God help him if he begins to pander to northern interests with that Biafra agitation!

But...but we all know South Africa is not in Nigeria's league, statistics be damned. All this nonsense talk about high unemployment, high poverty, high inflation, high debt, low incomes, low purchasing power etc. is a waste of time. We don't eat statistics here in Nigeria...and I know this because one big man said so.

Nigeria was recently described as a West African superpower - and that description is still an insult. All these other small, small countries (note how I used the word 'small' twice) in other parts of the continent will soon start getting funny ideas.

Nigeria is a giant. The material our feet are made of - is irrelevant.
