@Justwise, Any opinion on the mail i got from sheffield below A decision has been made on your UK Visa application. Your application will be dispatched shortly from the Decision Making Centre in Sheffield, UK. If anyone contacts you advising that your application is still under consideration or that they can influence the outcome of your application in any way, they cannot - please report any such approach to VisaSheffield@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk. Applications submitted at a Visa Application Centre will be returned there for you to collect. You should not expect to receive any further notification from this office unless you have made your application in North America and submitted a pre-paid courier envelope for your documents to be returned directly to you. If so you will also receive a further email with the courier tracking reference. Kind regards, Sheffield Visa Section |

daramolavo: Congratulations in advance . you got the visa. The VAF number is your visa reference. When you have the VAF in the subject and your full name after the Dear, It is Definitely a positive outcome. 1 Like |

Dear @Vicjustice and @justwise , could you pls advice on below, I have a 6mth multiple entry UK visa which I have used once and is valid till May. I plan on going to the UK for summer in June/July but by then, the visa would have expired. Do you think I could go ahead to apply for the 2 yrs UK visa now or do I wait until this visa expires in May? Tks. |

keji11:Hi, I follow this thread religiously and comment once in a blue moon. Once in a while questions like this pop up and they make me wonder..... If you were travelling to Ghana, who much do you think you would need? If you can't answer that question then you are not prepared to go anywhere. Find out price of airfare, find out hotel rate, how much are you willing to spend on shopping? find out cost of transportation within the UK. All these can be gotten from the internet with a little patience. Add everything up plus spare then include additional spare change to spend when you get back. that is an accurate way of estimating what should be in your account when you apply. It's just common sense. 3 Likes |

tayotp: Yes you have to upload all your documents online, submit, make payment and get your appointment date THEN printout the same form you submitted online, sign it and attach the same set of documents you submitted online and take them along for physical submission on your appointment day. |

xmasgift: You can apply now as long as it is not more than 3 months before your intended travel date. If they issue you a visa, it will be dated from when your current visa expires. Speaking from my own experience. |

damkanlinsin:Work on your strong ties to return home. Get a letter authorising your leave and stating that you will return after your holiday. Then get your finances in place for travel accomodation and spending. |

@justwise and oda gurus..kindly respond on dis.thanks Gd mrg my ogas, Pls i need an urgent advice on an issue. My family and i were given a 6 months tourist visa that expired in dec. We travelled to london during the period for a few weeks. I am about to apply for a 2 year visa renewal but there is a challenge. On d previous application we used random date of birth of her father and mum for my wife's application. She doesnt have record of thier dob. We did not make photocopy of d application and dont know what to put on dis new application. If there is a discrepancy is dere a possibility dat dis will b overlooked and is dere a probability dat d former application wldnt be checked. Kindly advise |
