Vicjustice:

It is unwise to stubbornly apply for a visa knowing very well that you are banned for 10 years.
Now, this is how it works: Once you submit your application, and the moment they enter your name and DOB into their system, there will be a red allert with the warning that you have been banned, an Entry Clearance Officer does not have the power to proceed with your application as the computer system will not let him, therefore, it would take an Entry Clearance Manager to overrule it. So, your application would be automatically refused without any question

@vicjustice : that's right! I have 3 more years to go. I guess I'll just wait and apply after serving my punishment.

Thank you

Hi justwise,

Well, you are absolutely right. But for me to be able to cross the border, spent a night and exited without staying back. Anyway what would you advice on my case on how I would be issued a visa again? I was a victim of a travel agent the landed me on 320, even tho back then I wrote to the embassy and got a reply that I can apply whenever I wish to do so but if the Eco isn't convinced I will be refused under paragraph 320 again.

Thank you

That does not count because your destination is not the UK and you did not apply for transit visa in advance, you missed your flight and the airline has to put you in a hotel so its only fair that you are allowed to stay in the hotel for that few hours.

You will not be helping the situation if you went ahead to apply for visa after 7yrs knowing full well that you are still serving a ban.

They will not tell you not to apply again because under certain conditions people serving a ban can still be given a visa...e.g spouse and EEA visa applications

Yet another question that makes me wonder. Nevertheless, i'll attempt to answer your questions.

Can they deny someone because of huge account balance ? It's not just the amount in your account but its source as well. If your statement shows that you have been saving towards that amount then that's a good thing. If you dumped a lump sum in your account then that may count against you.

Is 850k will be ok for the trip? Do your research, you're the one travelling. What is the cost of airfare? check the internet. Hotel rates? Check the internet. Even taxi and bus fare can be gotten online. Spending money? You should know what you want to do there... Theme park? shopping? all that can be gotten from the internet. Add it all up then add an additional 50k for contingency. Add yet another 50k as living allowance for when you return.

Also I have a micro finance bank that am having like 460k wit seperatly ... Can i get a letter frm this micro finance bank and add it wit my docs to ensure them that there is something for me to return to and live on ? Sure you can do that.

How long will you be staying in the UK?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(m): 5:59pm On Apr 08, 2015
Vicjustice:

This issue of "spending more than 2 months salaries" is usually when the applicant doesn't have much money as account balance, but if the applicant has substantial amount of verifiable sum in his account, he can actually get the visa even if the cost of the trip will take 10 months salaries there are people who have 5 million in their account even though they earn 80k monthly

Yes the two months salary thing does not apply to such category of people.

Somebody with 5million in the account but earns 80K must be a money doubler

Lol, money doubler....
But what about those who are furtunate enough to inherit money or properties worth millions, what if they sold a property (let's say) 2 years ago?
Such people could be earning 50k monthly and yet have 5 million Naira in their account.

Burden of proof. Simply provide documentary evidence.

Ok, you will be ok the 950k balance, your salary is good though very little goes into your account after reductions.
You need to apply for business visiting visa, look for budget hotel close to your exam centre in Manchester, hotels like travelodge or premier inn etc, this website will help
http://www.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_book/saver_search.phpsearch=&action=search&checkInDate=10/06/2015&locpostText=Manchester&location_code=16180
The most important thing here is your explanation about your salary, the loan, the contributions etc, use the blank space in the form to explain it as detailed as you can. If you are lucky to be called for an interview then good, you can use that opportunity to explain more.

If you have a family friend who lives in Manchester and able to accommodate you then great otherwise book a hotel. The person has to send you a letter with proof of accommodation attached.

Yes your explanation about private locum job with undocumented cash payments will help your application.

Good morning pals, please I need anyone who can to help me clarify this; I have a flight ticket to Toronto, but with a switch at Heathrow. Would I be needing a UK transit visa? British Airways (UK) said I would not be needing it (from their own check) since the flight connection would last less than 24hrs, but that I should confirm from the UK visa office in Nigeria. But the Visa office here got it all complicated by giving me some UK numbers to call. I called the number, and it turned out to be a paid service, and I need to have a credit Card.
Any useful info on what needs to be done would be appreciated.

Thanks

I was in a similar situation. What I did:I had to book another hotel. After which I replaced my old accommodation details with the new one on the printed form.I cancelled the initial one on the form with a pen and I attached a covering letter explaining the changes made.Got my Visa.

Lazy to start Googling that...but that is the general immigration rule...if the transit is less than 24hrs and you are not leaving the airport then there is no need for transit visa.

Have you gone to their visa centre to submit? Find out why your previous booking was cancelled before booking with the same hotel again.

Use booking.com or hotel.com to look for hotel in the same city and price.

Yes,u ve to make hand written corrections on the form. You can book the same hotel but I am not sure they are very reliable ,except the cancellation has to do with something on ur end.I tried to book a room that was still within the same price range so I didn't ve to change much in the cost section

Gud day everyone.
Am new here and really hope to get gud advise on here.

i applied for a student visa to do a masters programme in the uk last yera but got a refusal after 2weeks.stating that i didnt say what i have been doin since i graduated since 2008.secondly that i failed to explain where thefunds for my proposed studie came from.bearing in mind that i had paid my tuition in full and had d required maintenance in my bank account as well.i also attached a letter on the companies letter headed paper from my company wher i work stating i work with them .when aske d what i would do upon completion of my course at interview i said i would come baq to the country to get employment or go to my family business cause the skills i acquire will enable me that.WEN ASKED AT .they also stated in the refusal notice that i have no clear indication of what i want to do upon completion of my course.
i got a lawyer after gettin the refusal notice who advised me that he would file my case in the upper tribunal9judicial review).i just got a decision from court stating my my review has been granted on the basis that the reason for the refusal was unreasonable because they never asked me those questions at interview he also pointed out the fact that there was no specific place in the application form that dealt or asked those questions yet i was refused on those basis....my question goes thus....now that my review has been granted, what is the next step and what are my chances on this case....

not forgetting to mention that i scored 40points tho both for cas and maintenance.

looking forward to have answers ...@justwise and everybody else in the house.
tank uuuuuu
