Think big Lola. This shouldn't be JUST a blonovel. . .
I took the initiative to edit your work (Not finished). It could be more descriptive you know, to make into graphic novel. Excerpts like yours could go a long way.
God bless.;-)

@Nebulae
So what do you suggest? Since according to you I'm not dreaming big. Lol.
I started writing and posted within hours, it wasn't something I really sat down to polish/bulk up. Hope your editing mainly concerns punctuations and grammatical errors, not diction, adding additional scenes and so on. Cos I'm very jealous and possessive of my write ups, (not because I'm proud or anything, but because I have a vision of how I want it to turn out). Please correct if you must, but don't add or deduct from what I've written. Thanks dearie and thanks for the thumbs up! But seriously, what do you suggest i do to dream big? I'm open to suggestions!

@all
thanks for the shout out. We'll see where this takes us. Who knows? Maybe Campus blues might crop up in a bookshop near you soon. GRRAB YOUR COPY NOWWW! lmbbao!

Hello everybody. Will update in a sec. wink
Re: Campus Blues. . . . by lolaluv1(f): 11:45pm On Mar 05, 2012
She took some and stroked it on the bust. He watched her long fingers as she rubbed clay delicately unto the bust. He couldn’t stop his mind from imagining those fingers doing those things to him and not a cold, lifeless bust! He; hot blooded, virile male that he was, would certainly appreciate it more.

He crossed and uncrossed his ankles as he felt a warm feeling creep over his nether regions. He wondered what it’d be like, having her in his bed…no, not his bed in his school apartment. The bed he had in the BQ at home. He imagined her skin against the white cotton sheets; her hair, a luxurious halo of black against the virginal white of his pillowcase….

Don’t even think about it, she said warningly, her concentration on the bust, examining it appraisingly before rubbing her clay-dirtied hands down the side of her overalls.

Say what? Tunji asked, alarmed he’d somehow given away the thoughts running through his mind.

I said, don’t even think about it, she repeated, turning to look at him squarely, a small smile playing around her lips.

What are you talking about? He asked again, his voice sounded guiltily gruff even to his own ears. Was she a witch or something?
You’ve been shifting your legs restlessly. I bet you want to run and leave me here, right? Well, it’s not happening! She laughed, wagging her mud-stained index finger briefly at him.

Ah! Better. For a scary second, I thought you’d started talking to that creepy head you’re moulding. It’s said after all that the most talented people are a tad crazy!

She burst out laughing, her hands akimbo. He joined her in laughter, thank goodness! Boy, was he relieved!
Boredom setting in, perhaps? She asked, washing her hands in a bucket of water.

Nah! Don’t hassle yourself about me, you have an interested spectator in me. You know you’re very talented, right? I can see that sculpture sitting nicely in front of one of my constructions.
Shouldn’t the embellishing aspect of a construction be a decorator’s jurisdiction, she asked.

Well, I’m a builder with a difference, he said. Where I work during the hols, we try to get contracts in sync. The company has different departments so Engineers, architects, decorators and horticulturists, we start a job from scratch and we finish it up, essentially. So I’ve garnered experience with what I think should look good with my constructions!
Wow, that’s cool, she exclaimed. She had also heard somewhere before about the fact that his dad's construction company was innovative and different. She was secretly impressed about the fact that he wasn't trying to show-off or anything.

I think you would fit in with the company if they decide to start a department that offers your kind of service! Cause, you’re very good, at least from what I see! He added.
She noted he wasn't letting on he was talking about his father's company. She liked simplicity; she was seriously liking him.

Well, to my lecturers, I’m just average, she smiled, wiping her hands on a napkin.

Of course. You really don’t expect them to tell you you’re the best, do you? I mean, look at me. Engine treats me like his anathema but when it comes to real business, darn I know I come close to the being the best in class. If I’m not the best, that is! I don’t need Engine to tell me before I know my capabilities!

Hmmmn, someone’s ego tripping, she laughed. She rather liked his confidence too. It wasn't overbearing, just brutally honest. And he had the right to be proud of his academic achievements; rather than his father's achievements.

Yeah, he answered, flexing his chest muscles under the kaftan. You place a high price on yourself and nobody under prices you!

Hear thee! Hear thee!! she laughed. Now, where’s my mirror? Lemme clean my face and we could get out of here, I'm done for today! She bent to rummage her bag. I’m sure I’m all spattered with mud and stuff!

He walked up to her and pried away the wet wipe she had gotten from a pack in her bag. He pulled her closer and examined her face.
You don’t have to bother, I usually use the mirror, she declared.

Yes, and now that I’m here, I’ll take care of that!
He dabbed at her face with the moist napkin, and noted she was looking down, resolutely refusing to look at his face. In sudden spontaneity, he tipped her chin, and her eyes, tempestuous and stormy clashed with his own. For moments, they just stood looking at each other till he slowly bent his head to lower his lips on hers.
