It makes sense for them to be buying from dangote refinery instead importing considering that other small african countries around nigeria are now requesting for dangote fuel but nnpcl unstable ways of doing things due to corruption is making it look like dangote is not capable of meeting up with local demands. 1 Like |

TooMuchStuff:Was someone like Peterside, Elumelu, and any of the South South billionaires from building a bigger refinery? Many of them got license during the era of Obasanjo and Jonathan and refused to build one. So, let the Fulani man enjoy his monopoly! Another Fulani man by the name Abdulsamad Rabiu or known as BUA is building another one in Rivers State. Let your brothers continue to stash away money in foreign countries instead of investing in the oil and gas business like refineries. 3 Likes 1 Share |

This is wrong. Though it was predicted by those who know Nigeria for what it really is. From Sept 2020 - https://x.com/ChikeMustafa/status/1302515902043348993?ref_src=twsrcwatch?v=89MjqkhjUyQ The belief that refineries will lead to cheap PMS is not supported by facts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89MjqkhjUyQ?si=BgQgVAMEw9hN4hPl Nigeria needs free markets. That's the ONLY way to give THE PEOPLE a chance to prosper. Good Luck to Nigerians. 1 Like

No ooo .... The importation must continue Dangote should not be the sole distributor or seller of Petrol in Nigeria... If quality products can be sourced for at the same price, then marketers should import petrol. If Dangote is allowed to monopolize petrol distribution, the man can wake up one morning and inflate the price anyhow. |

turmacs: Which development? Did I not warn nairaland moderators yesterday to suspend DANGOTE Refinery propaganda on nairaland for some weeks? Every day, there must be DANGOTE Refinery propaganda on nairaland. We know it is a sponsored news, they should stop it for some weeks to enable the refinery focus on the completion of the refinery project. We are not all fools. Monday through Saturday, everyday, every week, there must be DANGOTE Refinery news. Please, as from next week Monday, they should suspend this propaganda. |

President Tinubu should not allow Dangote have monopoly in the Petroleum sector.. I know what I'm saying. The government should be looking for ways to break monopoly and bring fuel, food prices down not encouraging monopoly. Whoever is advising this government is doing a terrible job. Stopping importation of Petroleum products without having options to fall back to (except Dangote refinery) will lead to serious disaster and total economic collapse. Those Northerners in the Petroleum Agencies don't care whether this country collapse or not, as far as they hand over the oil industry to their brother, they care less about others. PBAT should stop this disaster NNPC under Mele Kyari is trying to force on Nigerians.. the economy will collapse and food prices will go beyond reach if you give only one person monopoly. A word is enough for the wise |
