Guys please help me analyse this situation I find myself in with my parents . A situation whereby parents are civil servants in their early 60's , all their children have all grown, married and living their separate lives. They are have never earned more than 60k a month as salary allowance through their working lives . Their house rent is being taken care of . But they are always complaining that the 200k per month feeding money given to each of them, (that's 400k) every month is not enough to cater for their needs. What do you think is the problem 🤔

What are they buying that 400k can't be enough for them in a month plus 60k they are getting every month each.
You guys are trying, 400k is big enough to take Care of the monthly

What is the problem? The problem is that both parents have an entitlement mentality. Reduce the pay from 400k to 200k and watch that nonsense entitlement mentality stop.

Bro... Learn how to talk without sounding "Off key". merely looking at Op write up, someone could've deduced s/he talking about elders s/he's relatively close to, now imagine you calling someelse parents such names, in the name of making your comments known.

Simple construction without sounding " off key" you can't.

I wouldn't have tell if you didn't have formal education tho.

Cos this manner is not way beyond at all.

If I may ask,do they stay in an expensive city, do they fuel their cars of generator, abi they be the faji type or they have couple of families they provide financial support for ever now and then which you children don't know about.
On a serious note, that amount of money is enough to cater for their needs on a monthly basis. Moreover that amount of money some family don't receive that kind of money but they are still sustainable.

Know this your parents were given money to other people who are in need in their hood and other places,do your findings.

Though nothing is too much to do for our parents. That been said, some parents can disturb their children.
If you have the means please do, otherwise maintain what you are doing presently. Even though I tried my best for my late parent, I still regret not doing more. May God bless our parents for their sacrifice.

If I tell you say my Karen get almost a million every month but you no go know until dey start to quarrel,just do the one you can and leave the rest for God,who dey do your own as a man?..,if you die tomorrow,na there you go know say Dem go still live and den still get money pass you,you train a child not because of benefits but morals And values,when you think they are suppose to help you because you are old ,you miss everything,if I where you,I go just open one business for them,make den dey eat from there

At times we have to be very careful when we want to give gift so that people
will not assume we have more than enough,

even when struggling to get them what we have to give to them


My best advice for you is to skip like one or two months and by the time you want to send the funds,

reduce the amount of money you send, then they will truly understand what is on ground


Don't be too generous to the point people see you as free money giver

No blame the guy. Na the Op wey bring him parents issue come online u suppose blame. How will a child brings his/parents issues on a public platform? That is wat i will never do. My parents are my pride and i will protect them wit all have got especially my mum. God continue to bless my parents.

At topic. Even if my parents ask for millions, i will gladly give them if i can afford it. Na only one parent i get.

Reduce the money and start using a large part of it to buy foodstuffs for them......That's what at my uncle did to His entitled wife........

so to that guy, old people don't have entitlement mentality, so because they are old you will now romance their wrong doing eh , what is bad is bad.
