Please spare us, she(Kemi Badenoch) only brings up Nigeria when they bring it up with her. Like my mum said Kemi is Nigeria's Meghan Markle, we're obsessed and allowing her to live rent free in our heads grin.

I am sure she can say:

"With respect oga madam reporter, I am the leader of the opposition of her majesty's government, can you direct any Nigerian questions to the shadow foreign secretary please?"

A political activist, Aisha Yesufu, has urged prominent British-Nigerian politician, Kemi Badenoch to move on from her fixation on Nigeria.
This is the same thing I have been saying that she should forget about Nigeria and move on instead of singing Nigeria everyday

Aisha is an hypocrite. The importance of the message should not be downplayed no matter who says it. Aisha herself has preached more of the same message Kemi is now preaching. Why is Aisha now changing the goal post?

Aisha made herself clear enough that kemi the mad woman shouldn't lower the bar for the UK police based on her experience with Nigerian police.

Nope. She has not. She keeps mentioning Naija in every occasion she gets asked about governance. Truth is, using Naija as comparative benchmark to win votes in a 1st world super power democracy is pure political buffoonery. She’s unlikely to be elected as PM.

How?
Nigeria never cared for her.
She won election and boom Abike Dabiri started disturbing her and she refused to respond.
Nigeria government officials thought since she's a yoruba they can use her to boost their legitimacy but he snubbed them.
And they started crying foul online and dragging her name.

She can't move on.

She realizes the white supremacy concept and she needs to appeal to it to remain relevant.

Is the Nigerian Police bad? Very bad! Are there good policemen in the Nigerian Police? Absolutely. The pain is that their good deeds are rarely reported.

Is the British Police bad? YES! Much worse than the Nigerian Police. If you place the Nigerian Police and the Metropolitan Police, ours would smell like enchanting roses. I should know because I have lived in both places.

Elsewhere, I argued as follows:

For those foolishly praising Kemi thinking they are doing Tinubu, some of your compatriots are international travellers doing legitimate businesses. With the garbage she spews, the documents of Nigerians will be checked and rechecked for applying for insurance, residence permits and asylum. In case some of you are not aware, some Nigerians are required to sign on something before using their credit cards in stores where they won't ask oyibos to do the same. If you want to pay with cash, they'd scan the cash under mercury light. And boy, Nigerians spend recklessly abroad as if they are cursed. If I am lying, observe blacks at airports with the most duty-free bags at airports. I recall waiting in line at a duty-free shop and one scruffy looking old man whose underwear was visible was about to pay for some drinks he brought. The cashier said €12,250. This man removed wads of €200 notes and counted them and dropped them on the table and continued reading his paper without a care. I have never seen a white man do such a thing.

If her so called denigrating Nigeria will lead to her downfall yet make our corrupt leaders so uncomfortable that they change their ways, she should please bring it on. More of her attacks against Nigeria's corrupt system is needed, especially if she ever makes it to the top. Those ruining Nigeria are not humans but monsters who are having a field day without anything to stop them, not even you.
If Nigerians can cope with the madness called governance today and whatever profiling already going on today, they can equally adjust and cope with whatever consequences of her outburst.

Make no mistakes - Many more Nigerians are very bitter with their own traumatic experiences and will do far worse once they have the chance.

And tell your lazy VP and officials to get off her back and desist from further mentions or attacks on her to avoid more lethal responses from her.

Don't tailor someone's speech if you won't allow others to tailor yours. You can criticize and even be right, but not directly or indirectly telling others what to say when you speak as it pleases you.

Succinctly stated.

The alleged negative events Kemi referenced about Nigeria happened MAJORLY under the then highly corrupt MILITARY RULE back in the 1980s to the late 1990s and she left Nigeria at the age of just 16 years in 1996 for her A-levels in Wimbledon London where she was born. Kemi has to be CLEARLY told by even her spouse to STOP referencing her past and demarketing Nigeria in some of her interviews. Fortunately, her equally 44-year-old Scottish-Jewish spouse and banker worked in Nigeria as well so, he knows about folks of Nigerian descent.

Unknown to a lot of highly ignorant, obviously younger posters I have read here for over 2 days who are NOT critical thinkers OR did NOT watch that video interview, the 44-year-old Kemi actually LED a powerful British trade delegation in February 2024 on a 3-day visit to Lagos and Abuja as the then UK Minister of Business and Trade to boost international trade ties between Nigeria and the United Kingdom which shows the importance of Nigeria as a major trading partner! It's completely irresponsible for any UK-based person such as Kemi in the international political and business space to make flippant and condescending comments such as the one she made in that interview with the White lady based off of experiences that occured in her teenage years on or before 1996. Democracy was restored in Nigeria in 1999 till date, so, it's irresponsible to take the dynamics of events under Military rule to qualify Nigeria of 2024 under democratic governance where things are progressively taking shape since 1999. That young lady really has to see a professional mental health therapist to enable her to unburden and understand herself. ONLY semi-literates and ignorant people will continue to support Kemi's documented video comments on Colonial-era crimes, reparations, the condescending comments about Nigeria and Nigerians in all her video interviews and political campaigns, etc! Her grand focus MUST be on UK issues and the wellbeing of the British people and residents as the Leader of the Conservative Party. Period.

Many years ago, I applied for an academic opportunity in Australia. Discussions were going very well until they asked me where I came from. As soon as I mentioned, that was the end. Many of the young ones here have no idea what Kemi is doing to damage chances for them. Attack politicians; leave the country alone. "It's a poor country". How was that necessary? She is promoting herself by pulling down an entire country, and you find fellow Nigerians applauding her.

In 2016, Hilary Clinton called Trump's supporters "basket of deplorables". That did tremendous damage to her campaign. In 2024, Joe Biden called Trump's supporters "garbage". We saw how it ended. Face the politicians; leave the people.

SendoSendal:

A political activist, Aisha Yesufu, has urged prominent British-Nigerian politician, Kemi Badenoch to move on from her fixation on Nigeria.

Badenoch has sharply divided Nigerians with some of her recent comments about the country, with Vice President Kashim Shettima accusing her of denigrating Nigeria.

In a fresh incident, the Leader of the UK Conservative Party was asked by a British journalist if she trusted the British police.

Responding, Badenoch said, “I do. My experience with the Nigeria Police was very negative. Coming to the UK, my experience with the British Police was very positive.”

She claimed men of the Nigeria Police Force stole her brother’s shoe and watch but did not elaborate on the incident.

Yesufu, who reposted a short clip of the interview on X, chided Badenoch for making her response about Nigeria when the question did not warrant it.

“Kemi Badenoch @KemiBadenoch should grow up and move on! Context is everything! She was asked if she trust the British police? How is what happened with Nigerian police a reason for her to know if she will trust her British police or not? What also brought in our poverty?” Yesufu queried.

She added, “If UK doesn’t give enabling environment for people to loot Nigeria’s wealth and take it there, poor and Nigeria will not be in the same sentence.

“So because the bar is low in Nigeria, it doesn’t mean that she should lower the bar for their police there! She should not use her Nigerian poverty mentality to lower the bar there!”

Yesufu also charged the Nigeria Police Force to improve on its performance.

“@PoliceNG , you see your life? Always
