MyExpression:
Section 99: Refusal to aid police officer in execution of duty.
(1) Where any person is called upon by any police officer to aid or assist him in the execution of his duty in the case of any obstruction to the execution of such duty, or in case of an assault being committed, or attempted, or offered to be committed upon or against such police officer, or any person or property in his charge, or in the case of any person aiding or attempting to aid the escape of any person arrested or in lawful custody, and such person called upon to aid or assist fails to do so, he commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of N100,000 or imprisonment for three months or to both such fine and imprisonment.

(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (1) of this section, no person shall be compelled to aid or assist a police officer in any manner which may expose him to personal danger or injury.

Lol, Nigerian laws are like pencil and eraser. One sections says one thing and another subsection overrules it.

I better go prison for me to help a "Nigerian" policeman. If any of my relations join the Nigerian Police. He will be de-relation immediately and cut off the family. They can join any other force or paramilitary but never the Nigerian Police. I will prefer to call the NSCDC for now than the police. simple.
